I sent in registration form to register my filly back in 2017. They refused to register her as they now came up with a new rule . Last year I sent in hair to do this test for an exborbitant fee. A letter from AQHA stated upon receipt of test they would proceed to Register her. ( my stud was registered for over 25 yrs with AQHA I never got my papers! I reopened file in 2022 and paid another fee for that. They sent me a DNA kit last month. I thought they wanted to confirm the she was the offspring? I paid another big lab fee.Yesterday I received a letter stating none of my horses were the parents. Impossible as I have proof she was born and bred on my Farm. Solid Big Black Filly the same as her Dad.I have been a member for years . It appears AQHA has partnered with ***** Lab in California. They recently charged me to accept a lab result from another provider that used ***** lab on a legal document for HPPY results.

      Dear Ms. W.,
We recommend you contact AQHA directly at 806-376-4811 for assistance. As the breed registry for the American Quarter Horse, our paramount mission is to record and preserve the pedigrees of the American Quarter Horse. DNA testing assists in the effort of maintaining the integrity of the breed.
With both reported parents being excluded, that is generally an indication that a horse has possibly been switched with another or the wrong horse’s hair was accidentally submitted for testing.
Please contact us directly to confirm which horse the hair sample was collected from and we can determine if there are any options for us to possibly assist in helping identify the horse.
