      Horrible experience. Paid a lot of money for 2 good **** *** tickets. Show was great, love **** ***. The staff after the show was horrible. Jared, who i assume was security, kicked us out of the venue when we walked from the bathroom, right after the show had ended, to the merchandise area. He said we were on the wrong side of an imaginary line and his boss said anyone on that side had to leave. Obviously, this was upsetting, this was an anniversary celebration and we wanted some memorabilia. The merch area was packed and there were very few people on the wrong side of this imaginary line. We tried to talk to them, tried to talk to a supervisor. When I was visibly upset the man started smiling, clearly enjoying it. I left without causing any trouble but i will NEVER give this venue my money again. Even after I tried to talk to the other staff, I told them who was giving me trouble and they told me he was a problem for people and that they've had complaints before. Being a city owned venue i don't even know if this was legal.

      The Amarillo Civic Center Complex truly apologizes for any confusion or disappointment experienced by patrons that were affected at the recent **** *** show on March 30, 2025. The tour manager informed our staff just prior to the start of the show of the planned Meet & Greet to be held at some point after the show was over. Typically, shows that are going to have a Meet & Greet have communicated this to us well ahead of time and this opportunity is added as an add-on sales opportunity. Our staff knows exactly how many are involved, the location of such activity and everything is set up with Security and Usher staffing for a smooth transition. This was not the case with this particular show. Tour management indicated that it was planned to be for the last 50 to 100 folks that remained in the concourse after the show and they gave our Security and Police direction on how to cut it off and send those not in place toward the exit. Most show patrons had already exited the building when they called this into place. Our Security staff were just doing what they were instructed to do by the tour manager. Unfortunately, building managers were occupied during this transition or we would have stepped in to mediate for the few that missed out.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      After paying hundreds of dollars for tickets and having 0 communication on the part of the venue, I find this unacceptable in how the staff handled this. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. I didn't even know there was a meet and greet, they could have told us that there was an actual reason they were cordoning areas off and I would probably have been more understanding. Instead they chose to kick dozens of people out without explanation and with bad attitudes.

      I attempted to contact complainant via telephone but only received voicemail. I left a call back number but never heard back from him. Investigated if his tickets were purchased through our box office, ****************, and found no account. This typically indicates that the tickets in question were purchased from a ticket reseller. In that event, we have no control over the price paid for tickets. Again, I apologize for any confusion or misinformation the complainant may have received, but I have not found any corroboration of the complaint.
