Popeyes Handyman and haul off/Amarillo fencing began work in February. Initially took down trees, showed up and completed project. They were then supposed to complete a privacy fence for us. They left us with an unfinished fence, poles and concrete not done correctly, overall bad job, and not returning calls or texts. When talking to them before he was very polite and promised everything would be done correctly, giving us days they would be out and they never showed up. At this point they havent been out for at least a couple of weeks and abandoned the project with zero communication. We have had to hire someone to redo the whole back fence, reset concrete and poles because it was a bad job and poles not set right, not sturdy. This will cost $2600 and they start today. We would like this amount refunded to us to pay other company for repair. They also used a picture of our property for their advertisement which we are very unhappy about, without our permission. Would like $2600 from them.

Good afternoon, we were hired to build a privacy fence around the alley side, the s. side of the property, which took substantially longer due to tree removal, neighbors dogs. The customer adding boards to the bottom of the S. side of the fence which was done for Free, no charge to the customer. I had spoken to the customer about trying to do the pretty side on on the outside which they denied, so we proceeded with the runners on the outside and planks on inside. I told the customer about the gaps because the way they wanted the gates. Still customer insisted, so we added another plank of wood with hinges. Later the customer changed their minds and wanted the entire double gate turned into a solid fence instead of gates. We have a schedule to keep, and the project kept getting added to and prolonged. We will not pay the customer for their wants of changing the project at the end as they wanted to change things. Those type of things are called change orders and are billed to the customer. this was not apart of the contract.

The client had made comments about the fence that had knot holes in it saying that he could use a bb gun to shoot peepers in the alley with a smile on his face laughing. The next day he had an issue with the knot holes in the fence so we came back and replaced over 40 pickets with no extra charge to the customer. 2 days later we had hurricane type winds 83mph winds for 2 days blowing through Amarillo, Tx. It wrecked all kinds of properties from Nm to N. Carolina. If there was damage to the customers fence after we built the fence then he needs to report it to his insurance for a claim. On the S. side of the property it was discussed that there wouldn't be a foot installed due to the massive tree roots. So it was discussed to use the extra funds for that part of the project to be funneled over to making the client a partial slab by his house for a bbq grill. We have no ill will towards the client in anyway shape or form. We wish them well on their future projects. The pics that we took are our right to use as we choose. The pics dont show the client or any part of his address. Its a simple pic of a Fence.

I am rejecting this response because:  Yes some pickets were replaced, definitely not 40. The day of the wind is a non-issue in this case. Nothing received any damage from the wind.  The fence was just never completed and the work was just abandoned with no communication.  I have submitted a picture of the new company working to complete the whole back fence now.  The concrete and the poles that had been done by popeyes/Amarillo fence company had to be completely redone. Cracks in concrete and poles not set correctly and the poles were the wrong size. We would still like $2600 since we are having to pay for corrections to the fence as well as have it completed.
