The **** is supposed to be an organization that serves adult and youth bowlers in the **. They state that they provide standardized rules, regulations, and benefits to make bowling fair and fun for everyone. **** is supposed to stand for values that include commitment, innovation, integrity, inclusiveness, and fun. They claim to have all those values mentioned above, yet, when I, a bowler and **** member, had an issue, they completely disregarded everything they supposedly stand for. On Feb 7, 2025, my league had their weekly bowling night. When we started our official practice, everyone noticed that their bowling ball was not getting the normal action/hook that they were used to getting. I and several other bowlers approached our house management to ask what was going on. They stated that nothing was different and the lanes were oiled as usual. A few frames into our first game, the house manager told our league president that the oil machine never put down any conditioner leaving the lanes oiled the full 60 feet. Nothing was done to correct the issue that night. We were told that we had to bowl or take a forfeit. The change in lanes directly goes against ****'s Rule 200. The lanes are supposed to be certified as a standard/house pattern and with the oil machine issue, they were not even close to any recognized oiled pattern. When presented with the issue, **** did nothing to correct the issue. When asked for guidance on how to handle the issue in the future if it occurs again, USBC provided no guidance. Why do I pay for a membership to the only ******************** recognized bowling organization if they do nothing to correct issues? They did not assist me or the other 119 bowlers that night. They do not uphold their own rules or regulations to make bowling fair. And that night, no one wanted to bowl on those lanes but were forced to bowl or forfeit. So, no one was having "fun." Why does the ***** still recognize them as the National Governing Body?
