My name is **** *****. In February 2022, I purchased a 2016 Dodge Charger SE financed through ******************. I continued to make my ****** payment every month. In May 2023, as a active duty service member, I was sent overseas for a tour in ****. Working with ******************, I provided all documentation prior to my departure in July 2023 oversea. In August 2023, I attempt to pay my car payment online with ****************** and was notified that account is paid in full. Nothing more. During end of ******* ***** September, I received a random phone call from an ***** number stating that I have to pay them for my car note now. I immediately gave them push back and stated that my account has been paid in full. They responded as they brought my account and I needs to pay them NOW. I stated to them numerous times that I am active duty military and I am currently overseas. I did not sign up for this at all. And I stated I need proof of everything as I did not ask to be signed up for any of this. They responded as they were going to send me documentation and they did not care that I was overseas active duty military. I never received any documentation from them at all. Only received threaten phone calls and emails. I thought this was a scam because no documents were provided and my credit report stated paid in full. Over a year went by and *** managed to put this on my credit report as negative in which I have not signed any documents with them and not sure of any of this. This negative account will effective my military statue and my security clearance with my job. On my credit report it reflects that I owe them ****** dollars as the vehicle is not even worth ***** dollars. I am seeking the documentation of this agreement as I never agreed to. Deletion of this item off all my credit report. Along with other things. Please assist me in this matter. Furthermore, since I am Active duty military this should fall under SCRA agreement. I need this fixed.

    Hello,

After conducting an investigation into the above-referenced customer complaint filed by this customer ********************** responds as follows:
We are a finance company based in *********, *****, and we acquire and service retail installment contracts it purchases from car dealers and other finance companies on the secondary market for a trust. The customer is aggrieved at the credit reporting on their auto finance account.

********************** has written policies and procedures that govern the servicing of accounts transferred to their organization and adheres to federal and state regulations. In July 2023, the customer was mailed the necessary documentation, to their last known address, from each company advising them of the account transfer. On August 14, 2023, CSF Servicing communicated with the customer and agreed to reduce the interest rate to 6% for an SCRA rate reduction and continued to make contact attempts for the balance on the account. On December 17, 2024, we mailed the customer a complaint response letter along with copies of the letters previously mailed from ****************** and CSF Servicing.

We strive to achieve the highest level of satisfaction with every customer. We value him as a customer and as a gesture of goodwill we removed the tradeline from the customers credit report. Please allow 7-10 business days for this transaction to be finalized.

    Sincerely,

    ****** *****

    CSF Servicing

This company has no legitimate business practices. Theyve been unlawfully repossessing people cars, and charging people to retrieve their personal property for as personal compensation and calling it a convenience fee Their business ethics are horrible, database is outdated and they dont keep customers notes and information up to date within their system. As they sent my repo letter to address I had updated with them several time. This place shouldnt be in business. They dont have the savy, etiquette, or intelligence to run a respectable business and are using it to solicit money from its customers.. They need to be evaluated and shut down. They reposses my car after i clearly communicated my circumstances.. thats okay, Ive accepted the lost. What is frustrating is they are try to charge me money to retrieve MY BELONGINGS from the car, as if they didnt disrupting my ability to work and raising the steaks so I cant retrieve my car. Seems like retaliation for me being behind on a bills due to homelessness, which i explained, and not company protocol.. Can we establish some enforcements to stop business for soliciting money from imaginary fees.

In the case of complaint number ********, we have investigated the matter of the customers complaint.  The customer is aggrieved at the fees charged for the repossession of her vehicle.

Center Street Finance has written policies and procedures that govern the repossession process to ensure every repossession adheres to federal and state regulations. The customer was sent the necessary documentation to her last known address on September 6, 2024. The customer was previously sent communication from the repossession company requiring an additional payment directly to them. We launched an investigation and discovered this request was made without our consent. We spoke with the customer and asked her to make arrangements to pick up her personal belongings and Center Street Finance would cover the fee to do so. The customer will not be charged any fee to recover her personal belongings.

At Center Street Finance we strive to achieve the highest level of satisfaction with every customer. We valued her as a customer, and we apologize for any inconvenience this matter caused her by the other company.

I have never missed a payment. My account is set up for automatic withdraw so I dont miss anything. I Got a letter in the mail stating I missed two payments and my account is now past due and reporting to the credit bureau. I went through my bank statement and the dates they are saying I missed a payment it shows paid. It came out of my account. This is ridiculous and I am so upset. After trying to build my credit this scam of a company wants to lie.
