Pier Genius KC conducted major foundation repair work in 2019, on a house that I purchased in July 2022. In March 2023, water was leaking through the foundation in the area of the repair. I contacted Pier Genius KC by the only phone number they have listed numerous times with no response. The voicemail box is now full, and there has been no contact. Pier Genius insured their work with a lifetime warranty, as well as multiple limited warrantys on other various aspects of their work. Pier Genius KC needs to contact me immediately and schedule a time to come out and assess the repair work that is needed, and honor their warranty by repairing their work.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: We would have been happy with the repairs discussed with ***** but he has yet to complete them. I have had to initiate all contact when he has not shown up on the days/times he said he will, and am unsure if he will arrive tomorrow to complete the work as stated in his response.

I tried calling another # listed on our initial bid *************) from my work # a few times as well without leaving messages in case he was dodging my #, but there was no answer.At this point our backyard is ankle-deep with water again, and we have yet to hear from *****. We contacted another company who evaluated the French drain installed by ***** and the contractor was horrified at the quality of work done by Pier Genius. He told ** that the initial inlet was too high and small to collect the incoming water, and the outlet sat higher than the grade of the yard, leaving water sitting within the drain at all times. He said instead of covering the perforated drainage pipe with rocks, mesh, then a layer of soil, Pier Genius had just covered the rocks with ***** which over time had seeped into the perforated pipe, clogging the drain completely. We will need the entire project re-done, and don't trust Pier Genius to do it. We would like a full refund so we can have it done properly by someone else.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Pier Genius did work on our home which has a lifetime warranty. Water got in and we had an extremely hard time getting in touch with anyone from the company. We only got a response after filing a complaint on BBB. They did come out to take a look at the issue but didnt have any answers or solutions- only told us that something definitely wasnt right and theyd be back in touch within 2 weeks. After no one followed up 2 weeks later, we called a couple more times. I did receive a call back from ***** who left me a voicemail stating that someone would be in touch mid next week to schedule a date to come to the house. That was on 12/27. My husband and I have called them almost every day for 2 weeks with zero response. My 62 year old mother lives in the affected area and has been displaced for going on 2 months now because of this issue. Repair; Contact by the business

We went out to the home on January 19 and inspected our work which was intact. The homeowner had added carpet to the basement and covered a damaged floor drain and water was coming up from there. While the guys were there they fixed the issue for $150.Initial Complaint

I purchased a residence in 9/2020, which came with several 'Lifetime Warranties" for work performed by Pier Genius in November of 2019. In May of 2022, I noticed some cracking of my foundation and immediately reached out to Pier Genius. The gentleman that took my information informed me that he would be out "next week" to evaluate the issue. He never showed up and any further attempt to communicate was futile. The phone number would go to voicemail and the mailbox was full. I attempted to text on several occasions and never got a response.Business Response

We hired this company in 2019 to install piers under our house with a basement. We have been noticing some shifting going on and have tried to reach out since they are under warranty and it's like the company has vanished. The cell phone and email no longer exist. The website still pulls up but is blocked from sending a message/getting a quote. The phone at the business just rings and goes to a voice mail box that is full and you can't leave a message. We thought we were in good hands until our piers have failed and the company is in hiding. We paid $10,500 for our house to be better and now it's worse. We cannot find the company or get in contact with anyone from there. They have a ***** location and we have reached out to all sources with no answers. This is a HUGE problem! The guys in the field have been answering the phone and unfortunately the voicemail had filled up and we had no idea. Our owner Wayne ******* has contacted you, Tuesday, December 6. He was at your home Wednesday, December 7 and then our Field Supervisior ****** was there as well to review the home. A fix has been suggested and work has been scheduled for the end of the week or beginning of the following after an ongoing job is completed which this time of the year can be weather dependent.
