    purchased a **** ****** 4runner that had the frame completely rusted through. I was unaware of the damage until I had to take the car to my mechanic a week later. the frame is completely rusted through on the frame rails and is unsafe to drive on the road. it is also now impossible to do any regular maintenance like tire rotation or oil changes as the car cannot be supported by the jacking points. car purchase was 7/26/2022, had to take it in for an oil leak 8/3/2022. paid $12,500 for the car and a new frame is $3,500 plus $600 in shipping and labor is double that. I worked with a gentlemen named *** and he informed me as we were signing paperwork that another man did not buy the car because there was "a little bit of rust" underneath the car, which means they were well aware of the issues.
