  I have been happy with my experience with SPS. I received good coaching sessions. My coach has looked out for me and given me the information I needed, Their lessons are not fluff, it truly is a 'how to video'. I like the convenience of being able to ******* any time I want. And I can sign up for more group coaching sessions every week. So, I hope the launching of my book will be successful too!

  They took my money. They had eight weeks to complete my simple childrens book. At week eight they sent me the cover but had mistakenly used the cover page. They told me they were behind and I had to cancel my entire launch week. They agreed to refund my money. They asked me to give them 6-8 business days to do so. They refunded only $2000 and we discovered they made an unauthorized charge of an additional $3000. They did not return calls. They sent an email saying they never agreed to fully refund me. They are a scam. I am now working with AMEX to resolve the situation.

  Avoid at all costs! I was shocked they had a 14 day refund policy. My $6000 is gone. It's not a legitimate operation, more of a self-help, do-it-yourself plan, but very nice people will take your money and run. I ended up going through a professional self-publisher where the cost is exactly the same as their high end plan. If you've never written and want to learn, I suggest taking a course (even auditing) at a local college and finding a retired English teacher to pay well to coach you. I'm a retired teacher that was looking for help with the publishing process and already had my manuscript 90% ready. Oops! The ************** is bad and poorly done. They will offer you special access to upscale seminars if you spend up to $500. There are only three coaching calls and after a year you will pay more for extra and continued access to their **************. On the group calls you will see a lot of confused people getting pitched a dream towards writing a best seller, but it's all manufactured by having your friends giving great reviews for your book. ******** runs the same "review my book" scheme. I had a great proofreader that cost me nothing (a friend). I suggest ******** if you need a first-class publisher. You'll need a good manuscript first, but put the money towards a good editor to get you on the right track and target what you spend carefully. Please don't go down the rabbit hole!

  Its been one of the most stressful situations with these people. They falsely advertise with '3 books published' for *****. On the phone call to get the deal going, I clarified that my book needed editing to be completed. The seller, ****, assured me they would handle the editing and everything else. But once I signed, the problems started. I find out they don';t do any editing. I spent more money to edited to finally get it going. Then, another bummer: once they got all the money, they literally stopped sending me emails, and I had to go after them to finish everything. LITERALLY, with 3 days before my book went on amazon, I didn't had any support from them. When I asked about the second book, another problem. They say the deal was to teach me how to publish them, not really publish them. So, in the end, I spent ***** for one book cover and format. THATS IT. Their material is so bad. It's like its a scam, but with material so they can get away with it. Also, everything they badly teach you in the course, you can find for free on the internet. I still have no answer as where all my ***** went. I literally got my car repossed to do this, and they just don't care. you better off doing your own research on ******* and having people on Fiver to do the cover and format - THAT';S LITERALLY WHAT THEY DO FOR YOU.

  So I was listening to a podcast episode that had ******** on their show talking about The Self Publishing School. I wasnt sure at first if this would be for me or not so I did the free seminar that he was doing online and at the end of it I was still not 100% sure but I did schedule a meeting to talk to someone and thought maybe this could help me finally get me unstuck with where I am at with my book that I have been working so hard on for the last couple of years. Then I had another call with someone else on March 3,2023 and thought that yes I will do this course and paid for it. Then it was a few hours later that that had talk to a friend of mine who has some connections with other people and also has experience with writing books. So I immediately emailed the Self Publishing School to let them know that I have found a different service that is closer to home and was going with them instead and asked for a refund. They had emailed me back the following Monday March 6,2023 and wanted me to schedule a meeting with one of their staff to tell them why I had changed my mind. I have talked to a few different people over email and phone. They still havent given me a refund. It is now almost the end of April and I have yet received my refund and yet they have still charged me again and I am not using the services. All they keep doing is trying to get me to stay with them and keep going in circles with me when I have told them probably a dozen times now that I am no longer in need of their services and just want my money back. Something is still not adding up and I really dont want to have to deal with them anymore.

  I have attempted to obtain even a partial refund for my $5000.00 up front payment. I previewed the course ******************* had one coaching session (sub-par), but believed in my commitment, passion, and a lifetime of follow-through. I was nearing the completion of my doctorate when I signed up for *** course. I soon discovered that I disliked their online platform and the ****** formulaic process they present. I was disheartened by the overreliance on the ******** forum. As an educator, researcher, and writer, accustomed to deadlines and working solo, I was looking forward to something that would be more creative and personalized. I was disappointed every step of the way. I realized from my failed attempt to work through the *** program, that I needed a more confidential and personal way forward, working with one coach (not just a cheerleader). I have exchanged multiple communications with the *** folks and they have merely passed the buck on follow through to resolve the fact that they did not earn my confidence or my money. It is obvious that the program works for some people. But when it becomes obvious that a program is a consistent disappointment for a consumer, it would be a much better approach to admit that it doesn't work for everyone. And refund at least 75% of the purchase price! There should be no shame or avoidance around that fact. I was wrong to trust in the *** model. I have found a worthy coach and writing group now, confidential and trustworthy and relational. And much less expensive. I finally feel honored for my process and creative writing commitments. I am still attempting to get at least a partial refund --- but I must say: buyer be aware, your are paying for a canned product that has no guarantees. For a person like myself, who is a self-starter and very private, you have to be an extrovert, I think, for the *** system to work. I am a resourceful woman of 63, and it has been 18 months of frustration with *** on my end. Be careful.

  I was skeptic at first like most people. I looked up SPS on the BBB and saw that they had a 4.5 out of 5. Once I scheduled a phone call with them and went over the services they would provide me, I was intrigued and gave them a shot. From the first payment on, I have no regrets. They partnered me with a mentor who understood exactly what I was looking for and how to help me get to the next level based on where I was in my journey to become a published Author. Since then, Its been full steam ahead with nothing but victory Ahead.
