    This is a lunch delivery company. When you order online with them they ask you tip 3% or more. They are not paying the tips to the delivery driver! When I asked about it they said they split the tips between all drivers which is false.

    Thank you for providing us the opportunity to respond. 


    This driver's complaint is a result of her misunderstanding of our pay structure and the Independent Contractor Agreement she signed on November 29th, 2022. All drivers, including this driver, explicitly added a checkmark to acknowledge they have read and understand "tips received through the app are distributed to all drivers and are used to cover the agreed upon pay base rate and/or bonus".


    Please note this driver first submitted an inquiry to us about her pay via text message on December 7th, 2022 and we politely responded a few minutes later stating we would be happy to have a manager reach out and explain - but she responded No Need to yall are thieves, to which we again politely replied with an explanation - but the driver instead chose to submit a complaint to BBB.


    Please note Lunchdrop's business model offers customers free delivery and no menu markups, all while providing drivers a guaranteed industry leading wage. Every driver receives a minimum of $28 per route, which typically takes less than 1 hour and less than 15 miles of driving. Drivers who work consistently or deliver large orders often receive over $40 to $60 for the same time and distance requirements.

    The driver who submitted the complaint worked for a very brief period of time with Lunchdrop, completing only 5 routes and earning $146.50.  The driver would have received a significant bonus had she completed more routes.
