RV Share randomly took money from my bank account yesterday. This is the email that I received. There was no pending booking cancellation. According to their customer service representative it happened to thousands of RV Share listing owners. They have no timeframe for returning the money. It looks like they are taking money to satisfy their financial needs after a slow July. This clearly looks like theft. This wasn't money that they paid out and pulled back. We are reaching out because you may have had funds withdrawn from your account as a result of a recent booking that was cancelled in error. We are aware of the issue, and our team is working diligently to reverse the situation. We understand that this situation is frustrating, especially when funds are unexpectedly pulled from your account.

Im extremely disappointed with my recent experience on RVshare.I had to cancel my RV rental due to a medical issue, and while I understood there would be a cancellation fee, I was shocked to learn it totaled $760. Im canceling well within the timeline to receive a 100% refund minus the cancellation fee, but the amount withheld feels excessive and misleading. The policy made it seem like only a small portion would be deducted, but this fee is so high it leaves a serious financial impactand has likely taken away my ability to take a vacation at all this ******* a customer, I feel taken advantage of. I urge others to read the fine print carefully before booking. RVshare presents itself as flexible and traveler-friendly, but hidden costs like this tell a very different story.RVshare, I hope you reconsider how these fees are structured and disclosed. This experience has left a lasting negative impression.

As a owner and Im a Navy Retiree, and combat veteran. Take my advice, Dont rent from Them they will fleece you. The first year was smooth, i did notice very high fees charged to the customer but customers dont mind i guess they just want to get there vacation on. The second year renting i was hesitant to rent but didnt take my trailer off site a nd had bookings in winter, i didnt want to spile peoples vacation planes.First renter a day before rental RV share cancelled on them, saying it was becouse of me and my lack of communication with the customer. I GIVE MY NUMBER TO EACH COSTOMER AT BOOKING. The customer contacted them and they of cours blamed it on me. RVshare took some of there money. Not refundable, and they had to rebook the rental and pay more. I DROPPED MY RATE TO SAVE THEM SOME $ but not enough. RENTERS/RENTEES. ******. unless your loaded and dont care about being ripped off.

RVShare does not protect renters. My husband and I rented an RV for the first time through RVShare. We returned it in the same condition we received it. Still, the owner, **** *****, filed a false damage ******** husband is a 20-year CDL driver with a spotless record no accidents, no lost loads, and extensive experience driving flatbeds and hazardous tankers. We submitted multiple forms of evidence, including aerial images of the owners restrictive parking area, which could easily have caused the damage. The owner claimed to have taken before pictures but failed to provide any proof with time and date stamps. Yet RVShare still sided with her and deducted over $500 from our account. There was no fair or thorough investigation.I feel deeply disappointed that a company of this size would ignore overwhelming proof and protect a dishonest owner. **** ***** should be removed from the platform, and renters should be warned.I will never use RVShare again and urge the BBB to hold them accountable for enabling fraudulent claims and dismissing consumer protection.

I found the perfect trailer for our Thanksgiving family campout and made the reservation. I paid the fee for the vehicle, the cleaning fee, the delivery fee and had a choice between some $100 + fee for damage or posting a $500 bond. Since this was all getting to be expensive, I posted the bond and finalized (I thought) the reservation and paid the deposit. Then I get an "urgent message" to complete some insurance form. It demanded that I post pictures of my driver's license, a picture of me at that moment to verify who I was. I didn't have time that night as it was late and I had to go to work the next day. When I got back to the task the next evening, it said I had to pay about $200. I wasn't driving and didn't think I should pay, especially because I wasn't notified of this prior to making the reservation and had already agreed to be liable for any damage. with a $500 bond. RVShare said the insurance was mandatory and I cancelled the reservation. Then I had to pay a cancellation fee to them for $ ****** because it had been longer than 24 hours since I started the process. They didn't have any place for reviews on their website which is too bad. Their business model feels like trickery.

We reserved our ** through RVSHARE on March 9th for the Indy 500 a major event that we planned months in advance. Now, just three days before our scheduled departure, our reservation has been abruptly and inexplicably canceled.Upon contacting the ** owner directly, we were informed that he was never contacted by RVSHARE and that they canceled our reservation the very next day, on March 10th. He had no means of reaching us and no explanation was ever provided to us by RVSHARE.We immediately contacted RVSHARE to demand an explanation and resolution, only to be told that all they could do was apologize. That response is absolutely unacceptable. We paid over $3,000 for this rental for a 4-day event that cannot be rescheduled and have been left stranded with no viable alternative. This is not just poor customer service; its gross negligence. ********************** failed to notify us of the cancellation, failed to offer any assistance or solution, and failed to uphold even the most basic standards of communication and accountability. We are demanding a full refund, along with compensation for the disruption, stress, and financial impact this has caused. We are also reviewing our legal options and will not hesitate to escalate this matter further.

Beware of Hidden Fees and Poor Customer ServiceI attempted to rent an RV through RVshare, but after checkout I received an email informing me of several unexpected insurance feesnone of which were clearly disclosed upfront, and there was no way to opt out. I tried contacting customer service immediately, but no one answered. Days later, I finally spoke with someone who clearly had handled this type of complaint many times before. They walked me through the cancellation processbut still kept the service fee despite the misleading experience.Ive rented RVs, homes, and more over the years, and this was by far the strangest and least transparent experience Ive had. I ended up canceling and losing money, but I felt compelled to leave a review so others are aware. There are better, more honest local companies out theredo yourself a favor and avoid RVshare.

I was an owner and rented my RV out through RVShare. I had a booking where I gave explicit instructions to protect the rig's plumbing during freezing temperatures. They ignored all instructions which resulted in severe damage to my plumbing. This renter opted for RVShare's "waiver" in lieu of a security deposit, which provides up to $1500 in "coverage" for a nominal fee. I provided complete proof and documentation demonstrating clear causation, yet they denied the "claim," as if this were some big insurance claim. It wasn't. It was a matter of $500 which would have been covered by a security deposit, but they push guests to go this route and then completely s**** the owners over. Do not list your RV here. Outdoorsy is a wonderful alternative where I have not had any of these experiences.

They dont actually offer insurance, please dont be fooled by renting and thinking that the insurance you are paying for actually covers the damage. IT DOESNT!

The customer service was horrible. My husband was stuck on the side of the interstate for over 5 hours with a blown out tire. He was told someone would be there to help within 2 hours, but after not receiving assistance and hours passing he ended up having to drop the camper he'd rented on the side of the interstate and drive to the nearest auto zone to get items to replace the tire himself. He was then told that we'd be responsible for repairing the damage caused by the blow out. The blown out tire was not his fault. The tires on the camper were in very poor condition when he picked up the camper from the owner. We will not be using this company again unless they take responsibility for these issues.
