On Dec 31, 2023, there was a debit of $50 from my checking account by **********************. I did not authorize this transaction. I did not check to renew my membership automatically on the 2023 membership form, because I wasnt even a member of TCDA in 2023. I have emailed the organization but havent heard back from them.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/05/2024

************ sent me an email on January 2, **** with her complaint.  We returned to our offices on Thursday, January 4, **** after the holiday break.  Our emails were set with an auto-response regarding our break and ************ received that auto response.  I replied to her email yesterday with an explanation of the charge and in fact, that she had authorized the auto-renew feature on her membership form.  i thoroughly explained that in my response.  In addition, I removed that feature on her account and I processed a full refund for her membership.

There was never any problem and there was no undue delay in my response to her.

I believe her complaint with the BBB is completely unfounded.  I have attached the email that includes the initial one received from her and my lengthy response I sent yesterday.
