    The greeter was late and then proceeded to be rude during our entry. We booked our room months and months before our stay. We were given a total for the stay and had to put down a 50% deposit. 2 weeks before our visit the remaining balance was taken. The company emailed us 2 days before our arrival worth a surprise charge for additional taxes. We had to pay over $150 additional upon arrival. There were only 2 towels for the 3 of us. I called and requested additional towels and was told they would be delivered before 5. After reaching out multiple times, we finally received the towels after 8. We also called because only 2 of the 3 televisions had a cable, so we couldn't watch 1 of them. We were told, "Well, 2 of them work." Nobody We dealt with card about anything. Shower heads were terrible in both bathrooms. I had to clean one of them just to get the water to come out decently. We would never recommend this company to anyone!!!

    When renting the Cinnamon Ridge Villa on ***********, **** from Wheretostay.com we experience a host of maintenance issues including a non-working hot tub, an unclean home, no hot water or water pressure in the two main bedrooms, no working ice makers and broken window shades. The Villa charged $16,000 for Thanksgiving week and clearly was falsely advertised as a luxury home. It even lists on WheretoStay.com that they have cable TV which they dont. On the day of arrival we sent an email to the rental agent at WheretoStay.com who ultimately acknowledged she saw it but declined to respond by email or call me which is what was requested. Upon our return we expressed dissatisfaction in writing and an unprofessional response in essence blaming us is what was received that stated we needed to call someone else and it was all our fault for not doing so on Island. However, they couldnt fix the hot tub without a part (they didnt have) and an unclean the house was clearly a real time inconvenience. And staying around to have maintenance in while vacationing should not be our problem.While she acknowledged our issues were valid she made no attempt to reconcile them with us rather said they are fixing them now.Since WheretoStay.com has no way to directly leave a review that we can find this is our big warning. NEVER USE THEM. Another warning while views are spectacular at a $16,000 price point RUN from renting Cinnamon Ridge villa on St **** it is poorly maintained and also has no means to leave a review. So buyer beware. We love St **** and will return. Best advice we can give is to eliminate the middleman and rent direct through Carribeanvilla.com who has always been wonderful.

    We wanted to take the opportunity to address the concerns and comments about the Howard's stay at Cinnamon Ridge. We, Caribbean Villas of St. John, work with WhereToStay.com quite often and have a wonderful working relationship with them. Everyone at WhereToStay.com takes pride in taking care of their clients and they have guests rebook with them year after year. Having worked with them, we have many repeat guests of theirs that stay with us regularly. They are a dedicated staff and are always willing to work on behalf of their guests. After we were shown this review, we worked together to fine tune how we should be communicating in the future, as having a happy guest is what WhereToStay.com as well as Caribbean Villas of St John strives to do. We also understand, sometimes we fail and we take these times as a learning opportunity, to better ourselves for our guests.
