I hired Critter Control to trap and remove 3 skunks from my property. After the initial $695 fee they tried for a month and trapped 0 skunks. I expended their services for a month at another $95/month and they trapper 0 skunks. I asked them about the "guarantee" and was told I would have to continue their monthly service at $95/month in "hopes they would be successful. I stopped their services, bought a trap and after 3 days trapped a skunk. I called them to ask if they would remove the skunk for my property and was told I would have to start all over at the $695 fee. I asked for a manager to call me and got silence. This company is a complete rip off.

I was just now been notified of your message left 1/5/2024.
You placed this complaint on an incorrect Critter Control office.  Your zip code belongs to the ****** Office.  We are the San Antonio office and we have nothing to do with how the ************* operates.  We are locally owned and they are part of the corporate office.  I hope you found resolution to your complaint.

We hired Critter Control to come out for a worsening armadillo issue. The wildlife biologist came out and diagnosed the issue, and recommended a plan, to the tune of over $600 to start, then $90 monthly thereafter. Our first service tech ended up leaving the company after the first treatment, so another was sent in his place. Everything was seemingly great initially, but then our bi-weekly service and constant communication abruptly stopped after the service technician closed down the traps. We never got an answer as to why the traps needed to be closed, and it seems counterproductive when youre trying to trap something, but we left it to the pros none the less. Now it has been 12 days, and two phone calls to the company with no response or service. What seems evident to us is that they are trying to prolong the traps being closed, and force us into paying for another month-plus, of continued service. During both of my recent calls to follow up with them I let them know we would not be continuing month to month but they said they could not cancel until they came and did our final service. That final service was now supposed to have happened twice, and still nobody has been out to open, or retrieve the traps. We had intentions of hiring someone for pest control but it certainly wont be this company after our experience.
