    June 4, 2023 we gave *********************** a check in the amount of $3050.00 for countertops for the kitchen at ************** It was just a deposit to pay for slabs he was to purchase. *******************, my roommate, wrote him a check (attached) for the deposit. I have attached a full description of what transpired. He never supplied the slabs or countertops, never did the work. He has since not returned any calls or returned the money. At this point, he has blocked me from his phone I'm sure.

    I hired *********************** who promised new custom cabinets and counters. He told me he could have the cabinets ordered within a week and have everything done in two days. He wanted the material cost up front of $6385 on 21 Apr 23. From there I got either no response and a long list of excuses for several weeks. When he started, he said he received the wrong cabinets and he told me after he demolished my kitchen. He showed up with cabinets that needed to be assembled and some were not correct which he assured me would be okay. This took another two week of no shows and excuses. I did give the remaining $1600 a few days before completion. The work is terrible. The dishwasher cannot be used because it wasn't measured correctly. All cabinets are uneven and there are pieces that are a different color that do not belong. I cannot open a drawer/cabinet because its as installed against the trim. I have splintered wood, an exposed electrical socked under the sink and he will not reimburse me. I need to hire someone to try and repair the area around the dishwasher but this was not what was promised. He also refused to send me the invoice after I wrote the check.
