    The Focus magazine rep came to our home to contract our business J&R *********** Services to advertise on 2 restaurants. The restaurants were The *************** and ******'s on the lake. We paid $400.00 to have an ad placed on the restaurants menus. After waiting a few months we went to Blue ********** and their menus did not include advertising ads on them. We talked to the owner who informed us they never contracted with Focus Magazine for menu advertising. They declined Focus because the price was to high. Small businesses were paying for ad's to pay for the menus that's the win for the restaurant. We have tried multiple times to get with the owner of Focus to recover our $400.00. We were scammed he kept our money and did not use it for advertising our business as contracted.

    My name is ***********************, I am with ********** Focus. I am contacting you in regards to the complaint against me by *********************- J & R *********** Services.  We entered into an agreement with The *************** and owner *********************** in ******* to make new menus for the restaurant.  They were to be provided to him at no charge.  We sold advertising to local businesses in ******* who wanted to have their advertisements displayed on the menu.  Advertising was sold, ads were designed and the menu was put together with the information that he provided us.  We delivered a proof of the menu to the restaurant  for ************** to approve but we had no response from him. We attempted to contact him on several occasions after that by phone with no response.  Several trips were also made to the restaurant to speak to him in person but he was never there and ignored our messages to contact us.  To this day we have not heard from *************. He failed to uphold his end of the agreement.  We are refunding advertisers in the order that they were sold. ********************* - J & R *********** Services is on the list to be refunded.  We will get a refund to them as soon as possible.
