      My zones which they had come out to repair last month are not turning on when the program runs. They don't want to troubleshoot under warrantee work, they want me now to replace the unit, when I just spent $1200 last month to fix this issue. They did not spend any time trying to troubleshoot, since they won't get paid for it. They keep coming out charging me for work, but still my sprinklers are not operating correctly.

      Our management team visited the customer's home on 7/10/24, and spoke with the customer on 7/12/24. We worked through the controller issues with the customer, and did receive confirmation from the customer that the issue appears resolved. At this time it is our understanding that the customer is satisfied with the resolution, and the customer confirmed that he would remove the formal BBB complaint.

      I hired Andy *********************** because my husband passed in January and he took care of the sprinkler system. They send a tech, who claim that my system was turn off, we determined that my husband had it turn off for the winter. However he claim that i need some maintenance done. First he charge me over $500. than he came back because apparently the system were not working properly . So i agreed to spend another $3500 or so. to get them work correctly. a month later as the heat started gettin g hotter and hot. i realize my grass turning yellow. I started calling the gentleman that work on it as he gave me his direct number. for 3 week no answer. i starting calling Andys but no respond either. Finally a manager call me ******* ask me to send him picture and video to his email. and he was going to share with his boss. never follow up again neither one. So i call to Andys and they said ******* call me and i didn't answer, i save his number on my contact. he never called. I spoke only once to him when he ask i send videos. I call again and spoke to him this week. And not only did he said i didn't send him the video which is why he didn't speak to his boss. Than because i told him that i did send them to the email he provided by text, he got very upset and so did i and he call me names and hang up on me. I call back request to speak to owner or person in charge besides *******, until today no one has responded. I feel like i was taken advantage by the first tech. i made a mistake to tell him i recently loss my husband. I didn't know how the system work. I hired someone else because apparently ******* was sopost to come and see the warranty of the job. But he never came , infact he refuse to come and look at it . instead he requested video and pictures which he claimed he never received them after i sent them twice to his email. and the main mail box for Andys. Yet i have not had anyone reach out to me. I had to pay all over again to another company , who found out my system was never even turn on. Which is why my grass was turning yellow. **** tech told me some area would never work. But they do. he just never set them up. Later i found out from Andys that week after that tech was here he was fired? i want them to refund me my money, if they would have been professional to respond and give me a reason for all their mistake perhaps i wouldn't be sending this email. I dont want an apology anymore , ******* was rude and very unprofessional he said i bother him to much. His Boss never has return my calls either. Pherhps he not even aware. i cannot imagine any business owner not respond. Once i figure out how to download video and picture i will send them. Thank you.

      We do agree that a communication breakdown occurred, however it is our position that this was equally shared by both parties. The customer was equally difficult to reach on several occasions, and despite the customer's insistence that emails were sent we never received any email correspondence regarding this matter.

      The customer called us on May 3, 2023, which is the first of three service visits to her property this year. At that visit, the technician was aware that the customer requested help learning how to operate the controller, which he did address during this visit. We returned to the customer's property again on 5/23 and 6/6, per her service requests; all three visits totaled $3,021.17 (not $3,500 that the customer claimed). At each and every visit we run the system before we leave to ensure all repairs were successful and leave the system on. If a customer, or anyone else, changes any controller settings or turns the system off between visits, that is out of our control. Therefore, we dispute any claim that the system being turned off (if it actually was off) was in any way our fault.

      Additionally, the excessive heat across ***** over the past few months is more than any sprinkler system can combat; drought conditions are present, especially in the area the customer lives in. This is further compounded by watering restrictions that are in effect across most ***** cities. The customer states her grass is "yellowing", which is a subjective observation that requires distinction. When grass is subjected to extreme weather, it will go dormant and turn brown (which can appear yellow to some) as a protective measure to survive the conditions. So in this case, without proof it could be that the system was actually on but the heat was more than the sprinklers could handle.    

      Regarding the customer's request for refund, because she chose to call another company we were never provided the opportunity to evaluate what, if any, issues there were with the repairs we completed. This is exactly why we had requested multiple times to receive evidence of what repairs the other company performed so we could compare those with the repairs we originally completed.

      Therefore, our counter-proposal is as follows: the customer must provide whatever evidence she has about the condition of her sprinkler system since our last service visit on 6/6/23. This would include any pictures and/or evaluations, invoices, estimates, etc. from the other company she hired. Because we warranty our repairs for one year, if the repairs completed by another company since 6/6 are specifically repairs to the ones we performed in our prior 3 visits, we will refund the cost of those specific line items. This is not admittance of any wrongdoing on our part; as it currently stands, we believe we properly serviced the system on all 3 occasions and a request for refund is unfounded.

      It took 5 weeks before they could get to me but they did at least show up at the appointed time. When I made the appointment I stated that 1:) I wanted all 8 zone valves located and 2:) I wanted to know why the system didn't work. They agreed to find all 8 valves and diagnose the system for a $95.00 charge. I agreed but when they showed up, I was informed that the $95.00 was for them to show up and it would be $185.00 per hour to locate the valves and diagnose the system. I agreed to see where they would be at after an hour. Within the hour they located 5 zone valves and repaired the system. I had three (3) wires together that were broken. When I was given the bill, I had been charged for three (3) strands of wire 15 feet length each and was shocked to see the wire alone was $500.00. This is the same wire you can buy a spool of at Home Depot for a RETAIL price of $50.00. They told me they had found all of the control valves and repaired the system. I was told that one of the control valves was not closing completely which would be an additional $300.00 but I said I would repair it myself. They were paid and left but unfortunately realized they never found the additional three (3) control valves. Since this was an agreed item from the very start I called them back to have them locate the three (3) valves. I was told that was not considered warranty and it would cost me an additional $95.00 service fee plus $185.00 per hour (minimum 1 hour charge) to locate the three valves missed in the original agreement. Their repairman had a very good knowledge about sprinklers and how to repair them. They will get your system working for a high price but triple check to make sure the work is completed as agreed. Also I was told that for warranty repairs that I would be contacted within 48 hours but then they would come when they found time. I wish companies lived up to their word and agreements. Being on Social Security doesn't give me money to throw at incomplete work.
