They came to my home at the request of the insurance company. They did not identify who they were. I had to contact to insurance company to find out who they were. They asked me to leave my home while they conducted their investigation. They brought over their friends and family. They talked badly about me and in my own home. They were very unprofessional.

    Business Response

State ***************************** hired Bryant Consultants to ascertain if communicated damage to house framing was due to plumbing-leak-induced movement of the foundation serving the structure. Our staff completed the homeowner scheduled site inspection at the residence the morning of Monday, January 30, 2023. The inspection took place over approximately four hours.Upon arrival, we communicated the number of staff who would attend the inspection, introduced our staff, and communicated their planned activities to the complainant.

Regarding the complainant's reference to staff "talking badly" about her and her home, we primarily conversed with her only to obtain the information needed for our data collection. The subject residence is large, mostly gutted, in a transitory state, and partially open to the outside environment. The site also had no room-by-room electricity (light) or heat. We had to ask many questions regarding house history, add-ons/additions, floor plan changes, recent repairs, etc., and our team did discuss the bleak condition of the home, as required to complete a comprehensive investigation.

At no time before or during our inspection did we instruct or request the complainantto leave the premises. Due to the below freezing temperature both outside and inside the structure, we did advise the complainant that if she wished to warm-up, run errands, etc., she did not have to stay at the site; we had approximately one hour of inspection remaining at that time.We observed the complainant sitting in the car and even leaving the site for an undisclosed time.Upon her return, she met with the wife of a staff member who was delivering warm soup for a short break our staff was undertaking. We fully explained this event to the complainant, on-site, during the scheduled inspection.

This claim has been ongoing for more than two years, so it is understandable that the process and potential outcome could be challenging/upsetting for anyone. That said, the level of service we provide as a company is vital to the success of our business and evidenced by the fact that this is the only BBB complaint ever filed against Bryant Consultants in our 25+ years in business. We take this claim seriously, and we hope to have this matter resolved quickly.
