      Buyer Beware-wood furniture will crack! Within four months of delivery, we discovered that 5 furniture pieces had cracking damage. Subsequently, FSI Owner admitted that the furniture was cracking because it had not been fully dried out in the kiln drying process and the cracking was the result of running our heater during the colder months. FSI Owner also admitted that at that time they had been receiving many calls from customers with similar cracking issues. FSI Owner further admitted that this cracking problem is a known issue with the wooden furniture goods sold by FSI which is why the Owner never runs the heater in the showroom. We were not forewarned about this when we purchased the furniture. FSI was very difficult to deal with following the discovery of cracking and the owner was very confrontational when we would reach out seeking a resolution for the damaged furniture. Buyer Beware-sloppy repairs! The employee FSI sent to do the repairs arrived late and did not come with adequate supplies to make repairs. He lacked rags, touch-up markers, and even a step stool. About halfway through the appointment he even had to leave our house to make a trip to Lowes. The employee managed to knock off a chunk of wood from the base of our table and had no idea how to repair it and my husband had to talk him through it. Further, the employee did very messy work. After the employee left our home we discovered stain on our walls, our step stool that he borrowed, and on our floor. The employee asked us to mark all of the cracks with painters tape but he would repeatedly remove the tape on some cracks and not make any repairs. Additionally, the cracks that were repaired are still very noticeable on many pieces. The employee also left our home before the interaction was complete. He said we were all set and we told him we were going to check the work on the furniture in the bedroom first but the employee left while we were looking at the repairs.
