    Terrible! Company bought out previous owner (location) less than 5 years ago and customer base but does not support all product for service. He actually said you were not billed for us coming out, Then continued to try to contact me to reiterate excuses! The unit is less than 5 years old so their thought process for parts and service was less than desirable for the customer. Of course only wanted to sell new unit and different manufacturer.Be very conscious of this company.

    My name is *********************** and I am the General Manager of Door Works. I am the person who spoke with you by telephone on Tuesday of this week.

    As I shared with you then, we could not repair your Guardian brand garage door motor/opener, including replacing its gear kit, as we do not carry or sell Guardian brand parts and our technicians are not trained to work on Guardian brand motors/openers. 

    My understanding from you is that you believed that Door Works had previously sold you and installed your Guardian garage door motor/opener and, therefore, we should carry parts for them and work on them. The detail below confirms that your motor was not sold to you and installed by Door Works. Im sorry, but I can only believe that you are mistaken. I will also confirm that you were not charged for our visit and assessment, the outcome of which is that you need to contact a company that carries the Guardian brand, or we could offer to install the brand we carry, LiftMaster, as we are a LiftMaster Dealer.

    Here is more detailed background information:

    Our company acquired Door Works in 2023 and the data system for service calls that we have access to goes back approximately 3 years. As I shared with you, that system did not have any entries for you.  As I also tried to explain, I wanted to contact the previous owners to see if they had access to any data on providing service for you that might shed any additional light on the subject. By this point, our conversation was not being very productive.

    As you referenced in your review, I did call back twice. My attempts were not as you stated; to give excuses. Rather, I was trying to communicate that, to help you, I needed time to contact the previous owners and ask for their help in searching any information they might have about servicing your garage door and if they had ever sold **************** parts for them, etc. I did reach out to the former owners and they were able to share some info with me from their legacy records.

    Under their ownership, the company provided service for you in September, 2016 with the installation of a new garage door. This included the door sections, tracks, spring lines, and hardware. When installed, these were connected to your existing garage door motor which we would surmise to be the ************** that you still have. They confirmed that they did not install a garage door motor for you. They also confirmed that they have never sold Guardian brand garage door motors/openers, nor the parts that support them.

    They provided service for you again in February, 2017 and, as part of that service, the technician reset the limit switches on your **************. These switch resets are common on virtually all brands of garage door motors/openers and do not require any Guardian brand parts or special training. They confirmed to me again that they never sold any Guardian brand motors or parts.

    The technicians notes in the file stated that if your problem with that motor continued, he would not be able to assess it any further but would assume that it would possibly need a logic board replacement. The previous owners again confirmed to me that they would not have been able to change out the logic board as they did not stock or sell Guardian brand parts.

    I am sorry that we could not satisfy you and wish you well in the future.

    Door Works has been our go-to garage door/driveway gate com[any for years. **** has been our service rep for most all of that time. He's very knowledgeable and very good about explaining the problem and explaining what it's going to take to fix the issue. The company has been professional from the initial phone call through the actual service call. *************** Hire them!

    Door works was very prompt in sending a technician to diagnose the problem with the garage door . Technician was quick to detect the issue, explained it in lay man's terms and explained the warranty on it etc and he replaced the motor . The new motor was very quiet, so i ended up asking him to replace the other motor that was working . I will use them any day.

    Called on a Friday afternoon and ***** the manager got **** the technician out here so the door could be fixed for the weekend. ***** was very accommodating and sent **** the technician out here within the hour.**** was very friendly, courteous and professional. He was very knowledgeable and fixed the problem promptly. I couldnt be more pleased with this company and will call them again if I have any problems in the future.
