    I called to get my records transferred to my current doctors office multiple times. This was not done. I then called to get them transferred to me via mail. On the call I spoke to the receptionist who told me the fee would be waived because of the difficulty in the past transferring the records. I received the records. My husband then received a voice message saying we owed money for the records. I called the office and was told we owed money for the records. This is shady practice.

    Thank you for providing an opportunity and a platform for our patients to express their dissatisfaction. Having received the complaint, we have done our best to understand the situation, find the truth and solve the problem.

    Our system shows we faxed the medical records over to ************* for the customers two boys four times. We can provide the fax details in our EHR system anytime per request.


    The first and second faxes on 6/20/22 and 6/21/22 did not go through for some reason, so our receptionist called ************* on 6/29/22 to double check their fax number. She then faxed again at 2:18 pm and 2:58 pm on 6/29/22. She thought the faxes went through because she didn't receive any phone calls from *************. She knew the boys needed the medical records for their appointments. 


    The customer called to request medical records via mail. Our receptionist usually tells patients who need medical *************** about the fees according to the ***** ************* guidance, and she doesn't have authorization to write off any fees. So as far as we are aware, the customers were not informed that the fee would be waived. Obviously, the customer didn't receive information of the related fees in advance, so we have decided to waive all charges of the medical records and shipping.


    We apologize for all the inconveniences that we brought to our customer. We are an honest business, and we are here to serve our patients diligently and truthfully. We have learned a ****** from this case and we hope to serve our patients even better in the future.
