I purchased the $500.00 rustproof warranty package in 2017 for my 2013 GMC ******* I acquired the $99.00 annual maintenance every year current to 2023. The local dealership told me multiple times I needed to have the annual maintenance done every year so as not to void the warranty. I was told numerous times that the warranty ensures underside and all upper body panels of the vehicle remain rust free. Also, I was told by the ************** Ziebart owner/manager that the warrranty covers the vehicles frame and other metal parts. Ok, now it gets interesting: I had to take my ****** in to our mechanic back in September, 2022. I was told that my trucks frame and many metal parts were encased with rust. The fuel pump module was leaking fuel on top my gas tank due to being rusted out. Our mechanic said one part of the frame where the cross brace meets literally has a hole in it due to rust. I paid the bill for the rusted out fuel tank and the rusted out steel housing of the module. Ok, then I sent a Letter of Consideration and 26 pictures (taken by my mechanic) of my trucks underbody, showing all the rust damage on the frame, to the local Ziebart owner/manager to assist with the rust on my trucks frame. The response I received from the owner/manager was We can do nothing for you. Sorry, but **** is a real problem down here. Call Corporate Ziebart about the warranty. Really? Ok, I called Corporate Ziebart and was told there is no Corporate warranty due to the *************************** Ziebart is independently owned. I asked the Corporate Rep then why the annual brochures I get every year stating for me to renew our annual maintenance required under our Ziebart warranty? The Rep responded saying Its confusing. I mentioned to my leadership how the brochures verbiage needs to be changed. She then tld me that I have no warranty with the local ************** Ziebart. Really??? Is this false representation? Fraud? Negligence? Im no lawyer, but I know we been deceived!
