    On November 15th Mr. Torres gave us a quote for $12500.00 and on the 16th he brought the written contract over for us to sign and said it would be done before Thanksgiving! It was not itemized at all. Just read: Remove & relace countertop, backsplash &sink with quartz. Labor and Material. Clean and Haul Debris. He asked for $7500 up front and we paid him. He said the granite man would 2-3 days to cut the pieces. I called on Monday to see what time they were coming and he informed me that the granite we wanted wasn't in stock and had to be ordered and wouldn't be coming in for two weeks! I told him we'd pick another one that was in stock and he said he knew he should have asked me, but it was too late. I was livid. Then the nightmares began. The quartz came in granite guy measured again, Dec. 11Torres came in with wrecking crew and ripped up the countertops , smashed the tile backsplash and all sheetrock out. One guy cut himself and bled as he continued, and a hole was knocked into the wall behind the refrigerator. He was shocked, unhappy when I asked him to put up greenboard to replace sheetrock before installing backsplash and to patch the hole. He left. He said the crew would clean everything up. They didn't, sheetrock dust was everywhere and left blood on our tile floor. Next day he returns with crew, the greenboard, patched the hole, bought paint to match where some wallpaper was ripped off, and replaced some trim that was removed. He told me "your welcome". Granite guy comes, no Mr. Torres, to install quartz. He set up a saw outside and had to cut still. Dust/quartz was everywhere and on cars. Had to cut more INSIDE to fit the window frame more dust all over house. Backsplash not flush with wall, big gaps. Torres fixes with caulk. ugh. Then microwave won't fit cuz backsplash wasn't cut properly. Paid balance with promise it would be fixed or he get smaller mico. I call- granite guy on vacation! Not his fault. Many texts, calls no response. Sad.
