      I gave notice that I was moving out to **** ******* who was one of the managers at the office. She said ok. **** ******* her husband was learning some of the office procedures at that time. **** usually took care of the paperwork but **** was helping. They had been and were having issues with the new system also. The days I was moving **** ask me to come by the office and sign the paperwork for **** because she needed it for the file. I said ok and I did go to the office and sign paperwork and she said they would refund my deposit. **** had told me they were retiring so **** and I were discussing their plans. I knew they were both in poor health. I made sure my unit was swept and in move in condition. **** came by my unit when I was moving because there were a lot of vehicles due to the auction and people were blocking other people in, etc. Now Safeguard is saying they cannot find the paperwork that I signed. The storage was having an auction when I was moving so I dont know what the office did with the paper work. Maybe it was misfiled or is with the auction paperwork. I ask them to ask ****. I have known **** and **** for 30 years. They know me. **** and **** were in poor health and were having difficulty managing the office so it is very possible it was filed wrong.. I gave my notice and I signed the form **** ask me to sign. My deposit should be refunded. Safeguard emailed me on June 11, 2024 saying I was late on my unit rent. I responded that I had moved out and to please see the move out form submitted to the office. **** and **** were already leaving or had left. That is the form that I signed and submitted to ****. I also gave prior notice to **** via phone conversation. I should be refunded the $20.00 deposit. I gave notice, I signed the form and I cleaned my unit. I have made numerous attempts to remedy this without success. .
