Hired-to demo upstairs bathroom, install new tub, shower fittings, vanity, wall light, ceiling fan, new ************* tile tub surround, master shower pan re-do, repair & tile where needed, master closet partial rebuild, some outside work.~Installed plumbing incorrectly for the upstairs bathtub, water leaked though the ceiling in the master closet . When he did not respond to the video of the leak, we hired a prof ******** who replaced the bathtub plumbing, now a big hole in the master closet ceiling. Developed mold in leak area. Charged extra for the bathtub plumbing.~Left the master closet unfinished, including holes in the wall, un-sanded shelves, much of previous storage unusable because he did not follow design to our specification.~ When he did plumbing & tiling on the shower, he enclosed all the walls prior to ensuring the fitting went on properly, he had to tear out the new drywall. Charged extra. ~The wood for 2nd new wall was glued to sheet rock, within 48 hours separated from the sheetrock wall. **** was left unpainted.~Several places on the walls upstairs are unfinished (he cut holes in wall for plumbing), holes where new light fits differently, holes in the ceiling where new fan fits differently.~ New sink plumbing upstairs leaked.~ ***** was left in the garage & upstairs. (All related trash removal was part of the contract)The final payment was made on 5/1/24 after a quick walk through. First email was sent to him on 5/6/24 to complete items. Upon discovering the new water damage on 5/11/24, we sent an email about the master closet ceiling showing signs of this water damage. He did respond that he was out of town when we first emailed him a list of the work we expected completed in a professional manner. Ask us to have someone look at ceiling leak, did not hear from him until after leak repaired. Will not honor his contract. Uses my husband as an excuse, but husband is gone for 3-4 weeks at a time. Not enough room to add all issues or photos

    Business Response

    Date: 06/24/2024

It is next to impossible to respond to a complaint that is patently false and without merit. After going through several contractors, and not being satisfied, ********************** hired me to complete his downstairs master bathroom shower that had been non- functioning for a couple of years. After completing the master bathroom shower ********************** was satisfied and ask me to do his upstair hall bathroom. The bathroom was completed as specified, and agreed to, and all plumbing was installed correctly. The only way the overflow on the would have failed is if the tub was allowed to continuously run while not being monitored. All calls, texts and emails were returned other than when I was several hours from home and ********************** was well advised prior to me leaving. ********************* became verbally abusive and threatening to me more than once which resulted in me informing him that I would no longer be willing to work in a toxic environment or allow that behavior to continue.
