I have used McGregor at least a couple of times before. They did provide quality service at a reasonable price. A year ago, I was told something would take a week, yet they had my vehicle 3 weeks. This time was just obsurd! I took my Jeep in for what appeared to be a blown head gasket on June 2, 2022. They would charge $2,800 while a Jeep dealership would charge $4000. After 4 days (June 7), I called to check on it. The person said (paraphrased) "It is being looked at now. We will call you when we have diagnosed it". 7 days later (11 since I dropped it off), I called again. The person said (paraphrased) "It is being looked at now. We will call you when we have diagnosed it". I said "You know, that's what you told me 7 days ago???". I was told they were short handed and had too much work. On July 5th, I was told it had been looked at and was a blown head gasket. On July 8th, I was in line to start work on Monday and should take a day to fix. July 19th, I finally got short with them on the phone (not rude). By the end of the call, I found out they had NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT IT! They suggested I just come and pick it up, to which I whole hardheartedly agreed! And after only a week, the Jeep dealership was able to tell me it needed a new engine. So I just went and bought a car... that I should've been able to buy a month prior, had McGregor not taken my car in when they were too backed up to do anything!
