  I signed up for a coworking space that's not sufficient to operate my business. I intended to gain an enclosed, isolated office space where I would need to play music loudly and work with clients without disturbing others. I tried to get out of the contract almost immediately after signing since I was charged more than advertised but was not allowed because of signing the contract. However, the document contained Misrepresentation and Lack Of Clarity. During the signing, I asked clarifying questions about the document. The information requested was not conveyed in a way that I could understand detrimental terms of the agreement. I specifically asked about the 12-month clause and mentioned that I was looking for a month-to-month office space as advertised on the company website. I was told I could cancel with 30 days' notice, neglecting to mention this would have to be 30 days before the lease was **. In addition, from my understanding, all services and amenities would be available to me. They were not. I was also informed that I would only pay $295 that day, differing from the amount of ~$465 charged to my account. I called the building manager to cancel and was given the runaround and told that the purchase would be postponed. Then she offered another discount. Even though I declined every offer, she informed me that I had to pay since I signed. My question would then be, does the contract have validity since the payment was never successful and the terms of the agreement were never initiated and could not be fulfilled to the fullest capacity? The contract shown to me later was not the correct application that I agreed to. There are also missing pieces and misspellings in the document sent to me. I have reason to suspect editing of the document in question (grounds of suspicion: the address and social security number are incorrect, and the metadata of the document states it was modified after the date of creation on 7/14/23).

  We were very clear that the agreement was for 12-months and it states is clearly right above the signature.  See attached.  He was absolutely clear of the 12 months when he signed.  There are numerous misinformation and false accusations.  Client signed for a dedicated desk in an open area and then came back stating that he signed with another space and now would like to cancel his contract.  We are always lenient with our members and try to work with them but also have to be fair.  We can't allow one client to get out of a legally binding agreement (because they later signed with a competitor) while holding our other members responsible to their commitment.  We even tried working with him by providing him a private office for a significantly discounted price to meet his needs, offer discounts on his current contract or allow him to delay start date of agreement. Laslty, the additional charge was for a refundable deposit which is standard in our industry.  

  To state that we edited the legal document is defamation and we will unfortuantely have to take legal actions.  Although we are very appreciative for all the business we get from our customers and members and work with them in any way we can, we absolutely will not take abuse of small businesses lightly.
