I was charged twice by Topgolf. This charge on 1-April-2025 was attempted to be credited but Topgolf at the venue level has no way to do that. I have been in touch multiple times with the local venue and Topgolf corporate to no avail. I was over-charged *****. I went to the **********, ** location and only the service was horrible, the food cold, and nothing was clean, but I couldn't even enjoy the services after requesting left-handed equipment several times. After calling and expressing my grievances, I was promised a refund. I see the charge was still placed on my card and I am still awaiting contact from the business.Business Response

On 4/17/25 I received an email stating a 4-day flash offer for 20% off gift cards to Topgolf with a max discount of $200 per person. On 4/18/25 I purchased 2 gift cards for $150.00 each totaling $300.00. With the discount the total was $240.00. The $240.00 was immediately pending with my bank making those funds unavailable to me. On 4/19/25 I still did not receive the gift cards so I called Topgolf. Then I was given another phone number by the ***resentative who was not in the **. I then called ************** at 12:40pm. Another *** I could barely understand advised me that there was a problem with the order, but he didn't know what. He said he was escalating it to another team and would have a resolution in 2 hours max. After hearing nothing I called back at 5:36pm-5hours later. That person said the same thing and said give it another 2 hours. My money was still being held by Topgolf. After being on hold another person told me they could try to run it again; however, they could not guarantee it would work. NO ONE was helpful and would not give me the product I paid for. The final *** stated she voided the transaction, but could not guarantee I would get my money back until 3 business days. I had reservations at Topgolf that evening and intended to use the gift cards. This was a huge inconvenience for me. They made my funds inaccessible and made me pay for the evening at Topgolf while holding my funds. This is false advertising as you can not get the product they are advertising and yet they take your money. I would like the 2-$150 gift cards that equal $300 as originally promised free of charge to me.Business Response

Unfortunately, based on the information provided, our system was unable to process this order. It was declined during the initial risk screening, and no payment was captured.
Any funds the customer sees as pending were authorized by their bank at the time of the attempted transaction. These pending charges will expire and the funds will be released back to the customer according to the banks timeline. This usually happens within a few business days, but the exact timing depends on the bank.Business Response

I purchased a top golf gift card from ****** 12/23 in mobile, ***, as a Christmas gift for my son. I have the receipt and cards. This past January, my son finally tried to use the two ***** gift cards and was told the cards are not validated. My son called TopGolf ********* and was told he had to take the cards to ****** and deal with ***** he is in school, I stopped in my local ****** and they told me it was a top golf issue. The manager, **** from the ********** ****** called TopGolf customer service and was told to call the star number that deals with gift cards. They gave us the wrong number. **** then called our local TopGolf in ********** and spoke with an employee who was suppose to call me back today and never did. So, I called **************** and they also referred me to call the Star number and I was told since I bought from a third party, I would have to deal with top golf customer service or ******. No define answer or help. So, I called TopGolf customer number again and told the agent what I was told, she just took my info. No help or solutions. She referred to fill out a report and it could take up to two weeks for someone to get back to me. I visited the topgolf ********** on March 19th. 2 days after my visit I see a unauthorized charge for $93.53. They require a card to order anything. I ordered one order of chicken nachos. When I asked for my bill the server said "oh I accidentally put all of this table on one ticket and the man also attending the party paid for it. I found that ******** said he didn't want the server to mess up anything else so told her to not worry about voiding his card and starting over. No one told her to charge this way!! I gave the man my portion of the money & left. I never received a bill. Never signed for a charge. Never given a total. Only told that it was paid for. When I tried to contact topgolf to tell them they then sent me a receipt that I clearly did not sign & is not even my name. I told them that either the server Ruby, was being intentionally fraudulent & double charging to then steal money. Or that they accidentally gave someone else my card on file & billed their items on it. Either way it was fraudulent & I never authorized it. I also have disputed with my *********** said they have more than enough items with my signature on it to prove that the receipt they are insisting is mine, is not in fact my signature or name. I have asked that they refund my money and Topgolf is refusing to respond to me. I have the copy of the recipient & managed to track down the man also at the ********** confirmed he did pay for the items & that he was also charged for that amout. There were 2 other similar situations like this within the group as well, which makes me believe it is intentional acts of fraud. The one time I was able to speak to a manager she was so disrespectful & unwilling to even listen to what occurred. It could have all been an accident & could very easily been fixed but they are not responding. I attempted to book an event at Topgolf for over a week, but the process was frustrating due to poor communication and unhelpful staff. Each time I called, the staff rushed me off the phone and failed to provide clear information upfront. After multiple attempts, my details were finally sent to an event planner, who then provided the event details.Key information that could have saved timesuch as booking requirements and important details about the eventwas not shared upfront. This lack of communication caused unnecessary delays and frustration. When I escalated my concerns to the Operations Director, he simply apologized and shifted the blame to the call center without offering a real resolution.The entire experience was frustrating and inefficient. Had our my granddaughter first time at top golf and the machine kept messing up the camera was not picking up our husband we didnt get to move to another bay or anything. The guy kept pushing the auto hit so it was like we never got to play a real game. Sent in a review and they emailed me saying I can have $20 off if I come back in 90 days. Thats funny because it was my granddaughters birthday and I spent well over $175 so what is $20 off for a game we really didnt get to play. I wasnt really mad at first but after that email Im ****** that it was even sent to me. I have attached a copy of the email. I bought a $100 gift card with the deal that for every $50 spent, Topgolf would provide a $15 gift card. When I tried to use the $15 gift cards (a total of $30), I was told they couldnt be used. There are a number of reasons why a bonus game play card may not be able to be applied on a visit. There are black out dates, they do expire, they cannot be combined with certain other promotions etc. We are unable to locate any gift card order made under the provided email. Without being able to locate the order and without other contextual details this is difficult to investigate.
