  I can attest to the below reviews. I unfortunately fell prey to ********* and his wife's business after our realtor gave us a list of recommended contractors and forgot to update and take him off. Stay away from this guy! Him and his wife are con artists! We asked him to come out and assess our garage to change it from a 2 door simply to a larger 1 door. He came out and sold this great plan and we thought this would be a simple fix up. A few months in after a down payment and supply payment, only thing we had to show for it was assurances from him and an engineer report. After that we started to ask questions about where we could go see the door, what company was coming out to check it. All he could provide was excuses. I called the companies eventually and they said there was no order placed by him for us. It finally got to a point where I told him either show proof of any progress or we are done. Obviously, he couldn't show what didn't exist. I told him we were done and I wanted the money back. He then gave some pitiful excuse that he will repay me, but just needed to clear with his attorney. Of course when I asked for the attorneys info he never gave it to me. From that point he just simply ghosted me once I said we were going to court. I just finished a year long arbitration against him and won a default judgement because, much like his work, he never showed up for that. I also reported him to the county authorities for theft, and I recommend anyone else who has been deceived by him to also call Collin County ************ tip line and report him to continue to strengthen the ******* the end avoid anything him or his wife are involved in. They will steal from you like they did from me. If you have already been violated by him, then take the extra few minutes and file a report to stop this activity from happening to others in the future.

  I contracted with Addison Cooper Construction back in July 2022 to renovate a small 2-bedroom 1 1-bathroom house I inherited. As of today (9/11/23) the work has yet to be completed despite several reassurances that the job would be completed weekly.Without going into much detail about this work experience I will just state that I have lost all trust in the business owner's word and confidence that my contracted work will ever get completed without me going to another general contractor to complete the work (it's been over a year and counting).Additionally, I was asked to prepay for hardware such as an HVAC that has yet to be delivered let alone installed. I could go on and on but you get the picture.

  This client had an open invoice with us for over 6 months that he promised to pay. They have also made lots of changes (adding and taking away from work) that they did not want to pay for. Or pay for timely. Work can not be completed with out funds to pay for it. It is a shame that a one-side review was left.

  We were updating a kitchen (painting cabinets, new countertops and backsplashes), putting in new flooring and painting. It did require adding some new cabinetry that needed to match the existing cabinets. They assured me it could be done, no problem! Things started out fine, old flooring removed and new flooring installed. The old counters and backsplash were then demoed and they started painting the cabinets even though we had not received the new ones. I questioned the timing but was assured all was proceeding appropriately. After many promises and delays on getting the new cabinets (at one point they tried to install cabinets that didn't match the existing) my designer finally stepped in to offer a solution, although it was at a higher price than originally quoted. At this point we had the kitchen unusable for several months (and painted the wrong color). I put a halt to all work until the new cabinets were installed and everything could be painted at one time (a very messy and smelly process). After another two months or so we finally had the new cabinets and painting resumed. I did not double check the order for the backsplash tile and noticed after installation that they had ordered OVER TWICE the required amount. They were supposed to install a new ***************** fireplace surround. After considerable lead time, the fireplace arrived only to discover that it was measured incorrectly. I paid for a custom item that wouldn't fit and could not be returned. I should have double checked the measurements. They would send crews out to do work, often showing up unexpectedly, and no one really never came by to check on them or see if work was proceeding according to the specifications. In hindsight, I never should have let them tear out the kitchen until all new cabinetry was on site and ready to be installed. Having to double check every thing myself really diminishes the need for a contractor, in my opinion. I would not hire them again. Frustrating to work with.

  We hired Addison Cooper last year to do a lite remodel. We moved out of our house for 8 weeks to facilitate a quick timeline. At the 9 week point, with no end in sight, we moved back in. ********* uses laborers that have questionable skills. An outdoor 5 foot wide ceiling fan was hung in our dinning room. We have had many electrical problems since. His painter was absolutely horrible. His carpenters made cabinet doors that don't match the existing doors. The work on our master closet was pathetic with shelves too short to even stay up! His ***** did a terrible job on our counters. At the 5 MONTH point ********* ghosted ** after we gave him a 3 1/2 page punch list. I have had to hire another contractor to finish what he abandoned. Terrible workmanship, quality and overall experience.
