      I called to make a service request for a water meter. I was provided a number for the plumber that would be servicing the service request. Five days had passed and no one had called or came by my sons home. So, I called *** and explained to them that no one from this company had reached out to us. They said they would call, but since I already had the number and they would call. I made the call and made the appointment. The company came out and said the water meter is a city job and left without any repairs being needed. I called AHS and ask them why would they set an appointment for a water meter if they knew it was a job for the city. An employee explained that the other employee should know that. Then on April 26 I go to look at my bank and *** took another 125 out of my account without my approval. So, I called the company that came to our home and they said that *** should be refunding my money, because their were ni repairs needed. I get a call today April 30 and they said I would only receive the refund from what they took out of my account on the 25th of April in 3-5 business days. I explained to them that I will be going to the police because they had no authorization to take anything from my account. They created another work request and they said that's why money had been taken out my account again. I would like my full refund of 250 and not 125 simply because their was no service and the other three employees and the initial appointment was set up all said that the employee that set the appointment knew that water meters aren't covered and is a job for the city. I cannot believe this company would take money from a disabled veteran like that. Not myself but my son.

      We are a home security company and do not provide water meter services, nor have we charged Ms. ****** any amount. Based on the content of the complaint, it appears she may be referring to a different company, possibly with a similar name (e.g., AHS).
      If Ms. ****** believes she was charged by our company in error, we kindly request that she provide documentation or a copy of the charge indicating that it was issued by American HomeSecures Inc. so we may investigate further.

      I was paying for a monthly monitoring service through this company. I had a period of time in January where my device did not work. It was not charging. I was unable to get ahold of the company. My son attempted to reach out to the company unsuccessfully on my behalf several times. At one point, he saw that the company was no longer in business on an internet search. We were unable to verbally cancel the account since there is no answer when you call the phone number. Multiple messages have been left on the business phone number with no response from the company. I cancelled my auto payment on file since I was not getting the agreed upon service. The company has since been billing me monthly for $29.99/month. I just received the May bill and my balance due now totals $119.88. Again, several attempts have been made to reach the company via phone to cancel this service. A letter was drafted in May and sent certified UPSP with signature required to the company to cancel in writing the service. The letter was also sent to the 3rd party billing company (Cornerstone Billing). We have been able to reach the 3rd party billing company. Unfortunately, they cannot cancel the service, but have made notes on the account about the situation. They also have been unable to reach the company. I have had to go get another monitoring system. My health is not good and I need to have a monitoring service at all times for peace of mind for myself and my family. My son and niece have been attempting to assist me with this issue however, we have not been able to get anywhere. We are asking for the BBBs help. I would like this account cancelled and any amount due credited back since I have not benefited from the service.
