Bad experience on what should have been an easy project. Dallas ****** could never get things coordinated between the farm they purchase the sod from & the contract crew they use to get the yard prepped & the sod laid. Dallas Sod is only a resale company. They don't grow any ************ only use contract crews. They have no skin in the game. Every time there was a delay, they would blame ************ or the contract crew. The first crew that came to prep the yard, scalped it & tilled it very lightly but refused to level it. They packed up & left to go to another job. Finally, after 2 weeks on what was supposed to be a 1 week job, the sod was delivered. A new contract crew showed up. They did a proper job of prepping & leveling the yard and laying the sod.

This customer harassed our ********************** the whole time from the moment he placed the order. We do really good work, and he was upset we had to go through a rain delay. We would have loved to have completed his job on the day it was scheduled to avoid dealing with such meanness and verbal attacks for something we could not control. We know how much effort we put into ensuring his lawn was done, and these statements are not factual at all. We wish him nothing but the best and will put measures in place to avoid doing business with this type of behavior. **************** sod from the farms, and when we experience a lot of rain like we did prior to his installation, a job may be postponed for a few days until the field is dry enough to be harvested. His sod type, Zoysia, takes the longest to dry up in the fields. He couldn't understand this and thinks we were doing a bad job. This type of delay is pretty common during the rainy start of Spring.

This company have no integrity and accountability. My horrible experience started when I purchased 2 pallets of ************* sods on Oct. 23, 2023. I requested the sods online to be delivered on Oct. 25, 2023 but they said they can only make it on Oct. 26, 2023. I agreed and did not insist so that they are not in the rush in harvesting the sods from the farm. I was expecting beautiful green sods on the day of the delivery, but it was the opposite of what I got. They sent me 2 pallets of almost dried out, crunchy, yellowish sods. Because of this experience, I gave them 1 star on ****** review and posted some photos of the sod. *********************** and ************************* reached out on how they can do to rectify the situation. I sent them photos of the sod and the sod photos speak for themselves. On their website, they say they harvest all sod fresh to order and deliver directly to homes. Sod quality and freshness is their priority. The resolution I got is just a foolish explanation that what I am seeing is the sod being in a state of shock from harvesting and transportation and the sod will start to green up in few days with correct watering. And they are willing to bring extra pieces of sods out to swap for some of the yellow ones in exchange for the negative review. I dismissed their explanation and asked for refund for the total amount of the pallets which is $810.00 less the delivery fee of $175.00. Instead of giving compensation or resolution, ****, who introduced himself as the owner of the company, talked to me over the phone and questioned my intention why I gave them a bad review of 1 star. He said they deserve a higher rating, and it is unfair to them, and I will get bad karma. Now they are the victim and not me who spent $810.00 for 2 pallets of bad ************* sods which have no assurance to survive due to the current freezing weather and very short growing period and me who has been misled by them that their sods are farm fresh.
