Through the use of scrupulous sales tactics, I was promised that solar panels would eliminate my electric bill and that there was a government rebate for the purchase of the panels. I later found out I do not qualify for the rebate and I still have an electric bill in excess of several hundred dollars on top of the loan payment of the solar panels. Tex Solar has added additional panels at no charge to try to rectify low production. Production does not meet consumption of electricity for my household. I was assured I would overproduce and have credit for my electricity. I just learned that the installation did not pass the AEP approval. Texsolar took it upon themselves to upgrade breaker panel. I received a phone call from Rick today and he started the call very aggressive, accusing me of being hard to get a hold of. I have received zero voicemails and zero text messages from company trying to get a hold of me. Rick stated that the additional services I should have been charged for and there is nothing else they will do to rectify the underproduction of the solar panel system. I’m asking for a full refund and return of the solar system.

System was designed by data provided by customer and built to customers budget, per our contract (see attached).  After installation, it was determined during the utility inspection process that customer had multi power lines ran bypassing the property's utility meter.  This usage wasn’t disclosed by the customer and wasn’t accounted for during the sales process.  We have also seen a spike in the customer's summer time usage which has used up all of power company credits banked to date.  Customer has had multiple months with negative power bills (see attached).  Solar production is not unlimited, it has to be managed by the customer.  As a courtesy we gave the customer 5 free panels and we corrected all of the illegal wiring for free as well.

At no point have we ever promised a customer a government rebate, this does not exist.  The Federal Tax Credit however is a credit towards taxable income and we always recommend that customer talk with a CPA or Accountant before making any financial decisions including purchasing one of our systems.

Multiple times the customer has complimented the salesman in charge of his account.  Company has spoken to customer multiple times and never has there been any complaints on the sales process until now.

With that said, the company feels very strongly that we have gone above and beyond for this particular customer and have comp'd thousands in labor and materials in the attempts to make customer happy which seems impossible.  We stand by our work and will continue to service any warranty work.

I am rejecting this response because:   The statements in their response are false.

I have attached the bill containing the data showed to Jeff when he quoted my solar.  Clearly shows several months over 5000kwh.

I have attached the production data of my solar system.  64.6kwh average per day is less than 2000kwh average per month.  That average is only going down as the days get shorter.

I have attached the original quote showing options for batteries and a generator with much higher costs.  I was approved for more than just the system that was decided on.  I trusted my sales person to build a system that works for my needs.  I was assured over and over that the system was large enough to over produce and build credits.

My energy consumption this summer is in line with my previous summer.

There is no evidence any power was illegally connected to my house.  The lines in question came up out of the riser to a breaker panel inside the house.  I asked the electrician that was upgrading my panel if they bypassed the meter and he told me they were not bypassed.

The solar loans are designed and financed to take advantage of the tax credit.  Most people don’t understand what a tax credit is and I was led to believe that I was getting that money.  There was a lot of emphasis on receiving the tax credit.

I am unsatisfied because the only reason I bought the solar system from you was to save money.  Instead it has caused financial and emotional stress.  I now have a loan for $74,460 and electric bills are inflated.

Jeff, the sales associate that worked Mr. ****** has tried multiple times to reach customer.  He has left text / phone messages that have not been returned.

The first line of Mr. ****** initial complaint stated that we did things in a diligent, thorough, and we were extremely attentive to details.

We would like Jeff and Mr. ****** to review notes of the project together.  We document all facts during the sales process.  We also feel strongly that we have done all we can for Mr. ******.

I am rejecting this response because:

You did not address any of the claims in my follow up response and you are pawning all responsibility onto Jeff.  I am in communication with Jeff as I responded to his single text messages sent on 9/15.  I did not hear back from him until 9/20.  Jeff is out of town until Monday and will review original notes when he returns.  I have received zero text or phone messages from any other persons with your company.

This is a TEXSOLAR problem and not just Jeffs problem.

I contacted TexSolar, in July of 2022, to provide a solar system for my home. Like all the companies that I had contacted a sales pitch of negating my electric bill was the main promotion. The equipment was stated to be "State of the art" and their sales pitch is they are the "#1 ************* in the state. Besides taking over four months to provide us with a system, they promised a monitoring system and a response if and when we had issues. The loan that was acquired for the system was not to start until 60 days after the system was completed. Although the system initially was placed on the house in December, issues occurred that delayed operating until late January, the first registered information indicating the system was operating was in February which is also why I received my first bill. According to the contract I was to have 31 Solar Panels but I was only given 28. So for all practical purposes the system is still not completed and I have been paying on it since February.I was advised that adjustments would need to made and was given an "App" that would provide the information on how the system was operating. From the beginning getting response was slow and the first four months showed an increase in solar operation but the electrical bills were not significantly reduced. By June after numerous calls and texts a technician arrived and adjusted the system. The technician adjustment lasted for a day or so, The App shows the system was not able to keep up with load. Contact was made by text and a reply that the information would be forwarded. We are still waiting...that was in June,,.Our written Requests for refund were returned "unable to forward"The App does not work but half the time for our monitoring, we have had several "events" the last were AC Overloads which shut our power off to the house. If anyone is monitoring we probably should have been contacted. I can go on but the rest of my issues will go to the ***** ************************
