    I have two matching ceiling fans in my open concept living area. One stopped working a while back; the other one works as well as the day it was installed. I contacted Hunter Ceiling Fan only to find out that the part I needed, the receiver, was no longer available due to the age of the fan. They are beautiful, well-made fans; therefore, replacing them both was not an option. They stated I could search online for an aftermarket part. I found Gulf Coast Fan and gave them a call. That was Friday, Aug. 2nd, at 6:50 p.m. He went over and above explaining how the part he sold had the same connectors as the original, making installation a breeze. He also said if when I installed it there was a problem, they were just a phone call away. I received the part today, Thursday, Aug 8. I took no time to remove the old part and attach the new one. I put the battery in the new remote that came with the receiver, synced them, and it works like a champ. I would give Gulf Coast Fan a sky full of stars if it were possible. This company is run the old-fashioned way. They truly care. Mike is top notch!

    The receiver for my older Hunter Fan went kaput and I spent several weeks trying to locate a replacement. Someone referred me to Gulf Coast Fans and they had exactly what I needed. It took me a couple of months before I got around to installing the new receiver.
    I did finally get it installed but couldn't get it to work. I contacted Gulf Coast Fans not expecting anyone to be there since it was Friday evening but to my surprise, Mike answered. Despite it being past dinner time he was ready to talk me through troubleshooting my problem. He led me to the point where he found that there was a problem with the incoming power to the fan. I now had a direction to investigate further which required removing the fan from the ceiling.
    Despite the late hour, Mike was patient and very clear in instructing me step by step in the troubleshooting exercise. I will use Mike again next time I need a part for the several ceiling fans in my home.

    Wish I could give them 100 stars! Was working with Mike. We have an old ********** ceiling fan and the remote stopped working. ****** does not make any remotes for this fan any longer. I googled and thankfully found them. Mike tracked down a new one and he mailed to me. It was reasonably priced and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend them.

    Worked like a charm! Have 2 early (2003) ****** ********* Ceiling fans that suddenly quit running after a power outage. After several diagnostic online searches and testing, determined that the receiver inside the motor housing had died in both fans. These fans require remote control; were located 13 feet up in living room with one over a pool table and unreachable; large heavy fans that were top of the line. Contacted Hunter which reported that fan and receiver were discontinued, and suggested replacing with new fan. Further online searches finally turned up Gulf Coast Fan. What a find! Not only do they stock most replacement receivers and other parts, but their site has a wealth of info and excellent pics of the parts and common receiver variations1 A call to them in Texas was answered quickly and proved to be a wealth of pertinent knowledge, at their immediate fingertips! The person,Mike, knew exactly which fan i was referring to, checked what I had diagnosed, asked which connector(s?) from the receiver, and after i double-checked the connector and wires, correctly told me which receiver I needed to order. Even told me about the variation in the 2 light wires color codes, and how to determine the correct connections. Unbelievable knowledge and service! I ordered 2 receivers, which arrived quickly via priority mail. Not a job for the timid due to extent of fan disassembly (and fan 13 ft up and heavy). but receiver connected exactly as described. Reassembled and hung fan, turned on wall switch, pressed the remote: works perfectly!! I owe a huge thanks to Mike at Gulf Coast Fan! Couldn't have done it without them. I spent many hours online searching for info and parts- - no better place! I do a lot of personal repairs and repairs for friends on computers, phones, appliances, solar, power tools, vintage vehicles, etc., and Gulf Coast Fan is one of the top places i've ever found for knowledge, service, and parts! Tremendous kudos! 6 stars!

    Suddenly the lights my 12-year-old paddle fan from Hampton Bay/The Home Depot went dim and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I was told to call eceilingfans.com/Gulf Coast Fan where Mike gave me a simple fix over the phone -- gratis -- and it worked! The lights are bright again! I am so impressed with Mike's expertise and the way he does business. We have seven ceiling fans in our house and if I ever need parts, I will call definitely call Mike!

    Mike is a gem! Said send me the part, we’ll check it and go from there. Return call from him said I need a new receiver, do I want it? I asked if it was exact one he said yes, just put it , it was set for my remote! Got it, plugged it in, I had forgot how cool this fan and light was working correctly!
    I highly recommend GULF COAST FANS! Give them a 5 ?????????? rating!

    I give Mike a Top review for his knowledge. My fan stopped responding to the remote. After a few questions, Mike knew exactly the part that I needed.

    The controller plugged in and worked with my existing remote, including the reverse button. Mike is the best.
