    Before approving the work (alternator replacement) we negotiated an estimate over the phone of $350. The final negotiated price was heard by multiple witnesses. The repair timeline estimate was the car would be ready the next day, however they held onto the vehicle for two days. Once the work was done, we went to pick up the car and pay our bill. We received a completely different price, almost double. When we pointed out that this was a much higher price than we had agreed-upon before the work was done ($650); we were threatened to either pay the bill or they would remove the part from our vehicle. I am shocked and disappointed because I saw so many good reviews. This business is unethical. We will never return. Ill be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. This is exactly the type of shady antics that makes people distrust mechanics. Clearly you cannot trust Allgood Auto ******************

    Ultimately this was a miscommunication between what we heard it would cost to repair the vehicle and the final bill. This wouldve been mitigated by an estimate in writing. ****** learned for all parties. 

    The owner (******) was rude, abrasive and defensive. I do not appreciate my teenage daughter being threatened to either pay the bill with the unexpected amount or they would remove the part from her vehicle.

     I fully expect businesses to profit from their work and services. It was entirely unnecessary for ****** to rant at my teenage daughter that we expect him to starve his family and be unable to pay his bills which she never stated or implied. She was surprised the amount was different than what was expected given a verbal estimate over the phone, stated that politely and was immediately met by a dramatic, unnecessary, defensive and tyrannical response. A more graceful compromise or even just conversation could have been reached.

    **** reached out to me, after my crying daughter paid the bill and left with her vehicle, to professionally discuss the incident. I do believe there was a miscommunication, that the verbal amount stated was either **** just misspeaking, or us mishearing $350 did seem far too low but for ****** to go into full attack, ranting at a crying teenage girl like she was personally decimating your livelihood is just not an acceptable way for an adult to behave. 

    I am disappointed because I saw so many good reviews and I was hoping for a mechanic that I could trust in her area.

    While I appreciate how kind and professional **** was reaching out to discuss this issue (after the bill was paid), given how defensive and abrasive ****** was mishandling the situation during the payment interaction, she wont be back.

    We have issues with the vehicle still not operating correctly. Because they have warrantied their repair, we needed to call them back and reschedule service. We only talked to ****. Im not willing to have conversations with ******. But **** is great so I would like to remove my complaint.

Allgood Auto is continuing to service the vehicle, and our Service Advisor is communicating with them. We stand by our honest repair estimates, and our Parts and Labor Warranty. Our team is dedicated to building trust and ensuring the satisfaction of every customer.
