Cycle Center of Denton advertises on their website a list price, discount amount and then, "Our Price". One would expect "our price" would be the actual sales price plus tax and title, but that is not the case. They add significant additional amounts and call them delivery fees, set up fees, etc and in the particular new motorcycle I was looking at, those fees exceeded 40% of "our price". In other words take "our price" and add over 40% to get to the actual sales price! Unfortunately you will not know these significant add-ons until you go to pay or specifically ask for the final price. This practice is very dishonest to say the least. When I queried them about this I was told the other dealers have the same practice as if that is somehow justification. Basically, "our price" really means nothing other than a place holder to add significant fees to.

Thank you for reaching out. The advertised price is the price that a customer pays for the vehicle. On the manufacture's website, this one ******** specifically has a disclaimer that states additional dealer fees will be added. ******** does not advertise, but freight to get the vehicle from the manufacture to the dealer is a fee that is passed onto the consumer but not advertised in the **** price. There is also a preparation/build fee. These vehicles come to the dealer in a large crate unassembled. The dealer then has to build these bikes to make them available to the customer. The dealer again has to pass these fees onto the consumer. We agree with you, we would hope that ********/Manufacture would disclose these fees in the ****, but unfortunately they do not. Anytime we are working a sale, we provide a worksheet that breaks down all these fees in black and white so you can see what they are. The price we advertised was and is our price.

As I said previously and will state again, you are being disingenuous and in my opinion, dishonest. No-one questions that there are additional fees associated with the true sales price like delivery and build however, the complaint has to do with not stating the actual or true sales price in your advertisement. Your website states, "Our Price" and a dollar amount, but again that really means nothing since you can add whatever you want in additional costs to bring the actual sales price to whatever you wish. The key to my complaint is in your last statement of your response whereby you say that when working a sale you provide a worksheet that breaks those fees in black and white. Great! Why don't you simply do the same on your website or at least total them and state a real sales price on your website? The answer to that is simple, your plan is to get more customers into your dealership with the lower, "our price" and then disclose later the additional costs they will have to pay to actually purchase the bike. Some will grudgingly pay the additional but some will not and walk out. In the end you have determined you will most likely get a few additional sales by this practice but it certainly is not transparent nor ethical in my opinion. Thus my complaint.
