  On April 13, 2023 I signed a contract with Designer Beef. As a relatively new company I had them make some adjustments to the agreement because they didnt have a limit on how long they could take money out of my account. I told the salesman I did not want more than 15 lbs of hamburger and was willing to take other cuts instead. I was told they would honor my limit of 15 lbs of hamburger. When I asked how much I would be paying for the beef I was told around $11.00 a pound.Around September, I asked how much meat I would receive, I was told they couldnt predict. They told me nobody would ever quote $11/lb and they were sorry I misunderstood them. When December came around and we went to pick up our meat we were unpleasantly surprised.First, they wanted to give us around 65 lbs of hamburger which was not acceptable. Instead of all that hamburger we received 7 country style ribs that were mostly fat. In addition, we still ended up having to settle for 50 lbs of hamburger!We Received 25 Hamburger packages, about 50 lbs 1 Rib eye steak, 1lb 5 Rib eye steaks bone in, 1.5 lbs 4 Filet Mignon, 6 oz 6 Sirloin steaks, 1 lb 5 New York strips, 1 lb 2 Flat iron steaks, < 1 lb 1 Tri tip, < 1 lb 5 Fajita meat, < 1 lb 1 ***** tender, 1lb 1 Hanger steak, < 1 lb 2 Flanken ribs, < 1 lb 7 Country style ribs, 2 lbs 2 Short ribs, 1 lb 1 Rump roast, 1 lb 1 Top sirloin roast, < 1 lb 1 Brisket tip roast, 1 lb mostly fat 2 Stew meat, 2 lb.1 **************, 1.5 lb.98 items, 106 lbs out of a ***** pound steer. We paid a total of $3,237.00 or $30.53 per pound! I could have gotten many better cuts of meat for this much money per pound. I feel I got scammed!If youre wondering why I wrote such a positive review of Designer Beef initially, its because they were offering over $500 worth of free meat for the review. Please note this is prior to receiving the meat a few months later.All in all, a very expensive ****** in getting value for your money.

  Designer Beef has incredible values, as evidenced by their quality *************** care. My family is on our second ************ are so thankful for the quality relationship we have built with a local rancher who cares for & feeds their cows in a responsible & healthy way. We love supporting Designer Beef Ranch as our country's ranching landscape quickly deteriorates. We have also had the opportunity to spend time with the ranch team at some of their events--they are awesome & fun!!5 stars & a lifelong customer that has referred many others!
