What a shady business. This is NOT an online course for MSHA Training Certification as advertised. They give you a "Certificate of Completion" which is not accepted by MSHA. Compliance Training Online says the mine itself is supposed to sign off on the official Form 5000-23; the mine itself says they can't legally sign off on the form because they weren't the ones who provided the training. When I complained to CTO, they told me this was an "educational prerequisite" and not an actual MSHA certification (even though their website specifically says "MSHA Online Training Certification.") So this was a waste of time and money due to their false advertising and fine print. Quite a clever loophole for a company to take advantage of people.
