    On July 21st 2022, I contacted Melted Wax Studio via phone to cancel my routine wax appointment that was scheduled for 7/22/2022. I spoke to the receptionist named *****, and let her know that I needed to cancel. She asked why and I informed her that its due to a recent injury that resulted in me having surgery. After that, ***** immediately offered to cancel my appointment, as well as waive the $40 cancellation fee due to my circumstances. She also reassured me that shed give me a call back once she received management approval to waive the fee. ***** called back about 20 minutes later, however, I wasnt available at the time. ***** then spammed me with texts invasively asking when did my injury, and surgery occur. After providing her with the information requested, she then went on to say that she was unable to waive the $40 cancellation fee, which was contradictory to what she reassured me over the phone. Then, she attempted to charge my card w/ out my consent, however, it declined due to me having an old card on file. Once that card declined, she began sending aggressive text messages demanding that I had to pay $40 to cancel my appointment, and she also requested that I update my card information to make any future appointments. She also emailed me the $40 invoice, that has now been resent 3 times since this incident occurred on 7/21/22. Since this incident, I havent been contacted directly by phone or email to resolve this contradictory issue. *** even left a negative review on ******* explaining my frustration with the way they poorly handled this situation, however, I still havent been contacted from this business directly to resolve the issue. Therefore, Id like to dispute the $40 cancellation fee once and for all, and I no longer want to be contacted by this business again.
