      I have purchased four Predator 14 auto scrubbers from Powr Flite. The three most recent I have purchased over the past year. Each of the machines have issues with the bolt that holds on the left wheel comes loose and falls out and the wheel comes off. There is a wheel cap that the bolt goes through and holds the wheel on. It is very cheap and if you tighten the bolt enough so that it doesn't come threaded, the wheel cap cracks. I called Powr Flite and the man I spoke to sent me out 3 new wheel caps rather than the number I need to replace the all the wheel caps I need for all three machines. In speaking to the man, he indicated that the company what aware of this problem, however, they were still sending machines out that had the cheap wheel cap. Later one of the caps on the right wheel of one of my machines cracked so I called them again to get the other three wheel caps I need for the right wheel and the man told me that the supplier of the wheel cap is no longer making them so because of this he could not send me any more. So now I have a wheel cap that is broken I have two other scrubber that I imagine will have the same problem in the near future. Since I complained about the problem they have done something to not allow me to order anything from their website and so I had to create a new account with my wife's information to get replacement parts for the other machines (i.e. sqeegees and hoses).

      I am so sorry to hear about your difficult experience with Powr-Flight. Powr-Flight was purchased by Tacony Corporation several years ago, but our BBB accounts were never linked. Therefore, your complaint arrived at our office via postal mail on Christmas Eve. We opened the letter on 12/26 and are working hard to find an answer for you.

      Thank you for your business through the years! We show three active accounts for you, one opened in 2010, one in 2021 and one in 2024. If you would like to share your experience, we are curious to learn about what you saw that made you think your account had been closed.

      I assure you we would not close an account due to a product concern. We stand behind our products and our warranties. The manager of our technical service department has scheduled a meeting for later this week with our in-house team to figure out the best solution for you. None of us on the current team have ever experienced a BBB complaint, but I think I can respond here in this forum. Therefore, I will come back here to do so as soon as possible. If that does not work, I will communicate via the email we have on file for you.

      All I know is that I used the same account on several purchases and I was logged in to that account when trying to purchase a Predator 14 and Prowler carpet machine and in both instances I provided all necessary information to submit the order, however, the order would not go through.  I opened an account in my wife's name and put in all the same information and both orders went through immediately.  The main complaint is the wheel hub that holds the wheel on.  They are of a very cheap quality.  It allows the s**** that holds the wheel on to come loose and the wheel and the bearing all fall off.  If you tighten the s**** to the point that this doesn't happen, the hub breaks.  According to the person I spoke to when calling to complain, stated that Powr-Flite is aware of the problem but apparently has done nothing about it and continues to send out machines with the defective hub.  I have three Predator 14 scrubbers and he sent me three hubs that were of much better quality for the left wheels, however, I tightened the right side hub on one of the machine and it broke.  I called and spoke to the same person and explained that I needed three more hubs sent to me and he stated that those were no longer available due to supplier issues.  Not sure what you are doing about new machine that are being produced.

      Hi *** *****, 

      We had requested our supplier to make an improved cap last year. They did make some and sent those to us. After that, they discontinued making them. We sent you all that we had in our possession.  We reached out to the supplier in early January to inquire if they would make more for us. Unfortunately, we're still waiting for an answer from them. In the meantime, we have 10ea of the old replacement wheel cap kits in stock.  We can mail those to you right away and that will give us some time to work with the manufacturer to get more the improved caps.  If that is okay with you, will you please confirm what address you would like us to send them to?
