    I contacted this cat breeder on 9/7 regarding buying his cat Daisy by filling out the contact form on his website. The seller sent information about the cat, even a video of the cat, a contract form to sign, and payment instructions. The contract specifies a $600 payment for the cat plus $45 for home delivery. The seller specified that the cat would be shipped in the passenger cabin of the plane: "We do ship via*************************** because they ship pets as extra passengers in the cabin section and the kitten is checked on every now and then, so you have nothing to worry about." On 9/8, I signed the contract and sent the $645 payment to the seller by ***** as per his payment instructions: Eureka Jean-L************************** The seller confirmed receipt of the signed contract and the $645 payment. On 9/9, the seller wrote that he had shipped the cat. On 9/10, I received an email from ******************************* that looked very much like a scam because it demanded an additional payment of $940, $1290, or $2000 for a "Thermal Electronic Crate". I did not pay this because shipment costs were included in my original contract and because a cat would not need a thermal crate when it is traveling in the passenger cabin. According to the tracking information on Compass' website, tracking number ************, the cat was supposed to be delivered to me on 9/10, but it was not delivered. On 9/12, my girlfriend and I wrote an email to the cat breeder asking about the location of the cat, the legitimacy of the shipping company, etc. But neither the seller nor the shipping company has responded to any further attempts to contact them by phone or by email.
