    On 5/31/24 I contracted with Water Edge Docks &More to do work on my boat dock. The contract lists a variety of items to be completed, including the following:Bumpers- install 2 angle bumpers, install 5 -pad bumpers to inside of slip.2x8 Subframe trim, Trex deck ************ 11 ft hand rail on dock.Finish s**** out on Trex boards.The cost for the work was $4570.00. I paid $2285.00 for the work to be started.Some of the work was completed with the exception of the *Bumpers,*Completion of some Trex boards,*Screw out of Trex boards.On 6/14/24 The owner asked for the remaining payment so that he could pay his guys. He said they would return on Monday to complete the work. He did not return. After several days of unanswered calls and messages, the owner contacted me and said he would return to complete the job. He returned but only completed the Trex boards. After several attempts again to contact the owner he finally responded that he was having a hard time finding the bumpers. I told him I would try to find them as well. I located the bumpers and asked that he meet me on location on 8/13/24. He did and we discussed the bumpers. He stated that the pad bumpers wouldnt do the job of protecting my boat, but he would install the corner bumpers that I had purchased. On 8/19/24, I went out to check the work, and noted that the work had not been done. I messaged him to ask whether he was going to complete the job. On 8/22/24, I messaged him again and informed him that if the work was not completed by 8/26/24, I would proceed to file a complaint. The same day he responded that he would be there on Monday 8/26. On the morning of 8/26/24 the owner messaged me that he would be out there to finish the job. On 8/27, he messaged that he had injured his back and would shoot for later that day. To date he has not returned nor has he attempted to contact me or respond to my attempts to contact him.
