Bleeker bid a job for a dozer and a skidsteer for 2 days for a set price. The dozer was there 1 day and the skid steer about 1 day and 2 hours. I came back from an appointment and they were loaded up to leave. I could tell a few things were not done, but I negotiated the price down and it would have been oK, However when looking at the work - it was not correct. The measurements were not as discussed and drainage was not right. ***** came back out and agreed to come back and fix the the issues with agreement on price. They arrived, fixed the areas and I paid agreed price that day. Then I got a bill for extra.$$ NOTHING extra was done. They only fixed been originally discussed and discussed again thoroughlywith ***** that day. The work was done. ***** came back and asked if I had a check. I had it made out and handed it to him and said thanks for making it right. After paying agreed amount as he was leaving he said i should have an ****. I looked and had email showing more charges. . I called immediately to let them know nothing Extra was done and I shouldn't pay extra for them fixing what they did wrong. Now they are threatening collection. Everyone Beware of this company. I never signed agreement and was never told anything extra would be charged. I had been happy they were making the work right - until they said I owed more After i had paid agreed price- with no agreement for additional charges or advanced notice. They didn't do Anything other than what should have been done to begin with and fix what they didn't do right. They wouldn't even start work without original signed agreement - I didn't sign or agree to any extra and they didn't do Extra work. Beware of this company.

Upon reviewing the details of your complaint, we would like to provide a comprehensive explanation to address the issues raised:

Scope of Work Alterations: The original bid that was signed before the start of work outlined the scope of grading work to be completed. However, it came to our attention DURING the project that modifications were necessary to accommodate the construction of a pole barn style building. These alterations included cutting out additional areas and creating drainage systems to ensure the proper functionality of the building. Additionally, the construction of a horse round pen, not initially included in the bid, required significant excavation work due to its location in a drainage area.

Billing Structure: We understand your concerns regarding the billing structure. Our company does not charge based on the duration of work but rather on the scope of the project and the services rendered. The bid provided to you was for the completion of the specified work, irrespective of the time taken to complete it.

Completion of Agreed Work: We acknowledge that there were initial concerns regarding the completeness and accuracy of the work performed. Upon your feedback, our team promptly returned to rectify the identified issues, ensuring that the agreed-upon scope was fulfilled to your satisfaction and you agreed. This included addressing discrepancies in measurements and ensuring proper drainage.

Additional Charges: We apologize for any confusion regarding the additional charges reflected in the subsequent email. It appears there was a miscommunication regarding the billing for the extra work completed, which was necessary to accommodate the changes in the project and again we bill buy the scope of the work and not by time.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. Should you have any further questions or require additional clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
    Sincerely,
    Bleeker Earthworks

I am rejecting this response because:

First, there was no work done on the round pen. Only a little drainage above it on the first visits. Second, no additional work was done that shouldn't have been done the first time. Third, at no time during the work was I told there would be additional charges on the 2nd visit, until I paid what had been agreed.

    Regards,
