      I have had my device installed last July 2022. November 2022 I had to replace a battery and alternator. Then Im February my car completely shuts down and will not crank after paying over $1500 to have my car work on and not fix because I have wiring problems because of the device being installed in my vehicle I have call smart start and notified them about whats going on and also tried calling the technician that installed my device he sent me to voicemail didnt return my call or text message. I call about my billing because smart start is saying I owe them over $400 because I havent brought my car in to be calibrated in 4 months. I explained to the lady my car is still down. She told me I had to get the device uninstalled from my vehicle or transfer to another vehicle I told her that I dont have another car and I cant drive my car. She was very rude and unprofessional and hung up on me because I was her asking her questions on why do I have to pay over $400 and the device is the reason my car is not running also have paperwork from shop saying car has wiring issues needs to taken to dealership. I have replace 2 alternators and 3 batteries and EMC module. Know Im out of a car because the technician they recommended wired the device wrong in my car. Never had any problems with my car until I got the device installed. I will be getting a lawyer because this is not right at all

      I would give zero if I could!! I have emailed to get my device removed on 4/27/2023!! These people will not give me the proper paperwork to have it removed!! It was not DOL a ordered it was by the court!! So now my car will not start and they want me to pay for this unit for 2 months and now have my car towed!! Smart start does not have the shop train you so you get a violation than they charge you 75 for each one!! Than they turn your car off which now has to be towed cuz there program is a joke!!

      They obviously don't care about customer service. If you have another ******************** option use them. I can't imagine anyone being worse than this company. My experience has been a total nightmare from the start.

      I wish I could give zero stars. Not on do the people that you deal with in person have terrible customer service, but even the people that you call to complain about the machine to don't say anything except "make sure the mouthpiece is in all the way and make sure to rinse your mouth with water" I'm convinced that they just want to get extra money by adding all of these extra fees, HORRIBLE COMPANY!

      Worst company I've ever dealt with . Just horrible service they lock your devices out for no reason then charge you for a code to get it going after they have you on hold for hours. And when you finally talk to customer service they don't know anything can't turn your device on nothing you have to be in your vehicle when they answer or they cant help you plus you have to go take it into a service location where they say nothing positive and want to charge you more... worst company save your money and time do not give this company your business please you have been warned just trying to help so no one has to go through what I am going through with this horrible nightmare of a company

      Working with this company has been the worst experience....I honestly don't know how to put it into words. The level of incompetence by employee and the complaints department are unprecedented. Wrongly accused of tampering and then given an extension that has been a huge -unnecessary inconvenience. What is even more concerning is this company (racket) has managed to be in cohorts with ********** of ***** Vehicles- a government entity- very problematic.

      They charged me$81 because it went off after I killed the car and jumped out so I didn't notice it because I had to get back to work. The car was already shut off...wth!

      I would give this company zero stars if possible. The list of horrific experiences is too long to even write here. This is the most incompetent, nightmare, illegitimate scam of a company I have ever had to deal with. They added an additional year and two months for two violations that were not even my fault. When I tried to dispute the violations, no one cared to look at the cameras or even understand that one of the times my appointment was scheduled for Christmas Day. My Smart Start location isn't open on Christmas day, but I went there anyway since it was my appointment and still got a violation when they were closed. In fact, my next appointment is scheduled for a Saturday and they are CLOSED. The location hours listed online are totally incorrect. They are only open for 2 hours a day and you will have to miss work every time you go. The staff have never showed up on time for calibrations. They are usually half an hour late. And then I usually wait at least an hour and a half, more like two hours every time I have gotten my device calibrated. And don't try to call the company because you will be put through a series of prompts and you will never speak with a real person. You can schedule a call back where they claim they will call you within 90 minutes. This has never happened. I have waited hours and no one has even called me back. I sat in a parking lot for 3 hours one day because they screwed up my lockout dates, but still overcharged me for it going into lockout. I opted to text with a SS staff person, and they dropped the texts twice. This place is a racket. All they care about is stealing your money from you. I will have to pay an extra $2000 because of their mistakes that they will never take any ownership for. And I haven't had any alcohol in 4 years....

      Two month expansion added because of a violation that occurred at an auto repair shop. They refuse to use our vehicle's Smart Start camera footage nor the receipts from the repair shop. After research, and learning that Smart Start's unethical practices have been occurring year after year nation wide a Class Action Suite is an easy solution. Why install cameras in the vehicle if you don't accept them as evidence?
