      I had an ignition lock installed less than a week before it started malfunctioning. Contacted support multiple times. Was filled with empty promises where I can get a new device in my area. None of them had it. This is by far the worst customer service relation Ive have ever experienced. And I work in customer relations. I am having device removed and disputing payment. I would NOT choose this company if I were you. not to mention it takes like an hour to talk to a human. And I had to call them multiple times. So thats five hours out of my life I will never get back. This is my first complaint Ive ever wrote. But stay away from the smart start. !!!!!!

      I just got charged for administrative closing fee a second time even though they sent me my service ticket showing I paid it. Funny thing on the ticket for the second charge of admin closing fee it just says past due paid. I would try their competition God forbid I would need it again

      These guys are the biggest male chauvinist pigs. **** and condescending. They basically mangled my girlfriend's steering column and half-ass put everything back together like a blind child with a puzzled. When she questioned them about it the half-wit says it just snaps back in. . . . Not the case. This was a hatchet job of significant proportions. Upon her return to get it fixed they treated her like garbage and didn't want to help her. State mandated mongoloids that have no business interacting with the general public. How they have any contract with the government is absurd. I would rather do jail time than deal with this group of rude, moronic, antisocial tribe of present day neanderthals!

      This company is garbage. I had my car in a shop and the instructions they gave to the shop didn't work. The shop called the company twice for guidance and the company didn't return their calls.

      DO NOT GET SMARTSTART INSTALLED IN YOUR VEHICLE!!! I have now been without my vehicle now for a month and a half! They are trying to charge me almost $700 in fees that I should not be responsible for. I was charged 3 system leases in 1 month and 2 system leases in another. Thats $333 in leases that I do not owe. On top of that I am being charged lock out and missed appointment fees for appointments that I dropped my car off to the service center the night before my scheduled appointment. The reason I started dropping my vehicle off was because of the minimum 1 hour recalibration wait times. Sometimes exceeding 2 hours! The service center told me that Smartstart could contact them to get these fees removed but Smartstart refuses to contact them and repeatedly tell me I was late to my appointments. I have been pretty much called a liar by rude customer service individuals multiple times. I feel I am being extorted by this company as I can not get my vehicle back to have an Intoxilock unit installed until I pay these fraudulent charges to get their unit removed from my vehicle. On top of this I have spent many hours on the phone with the **** courts, DIU, DDP, and the county clerk's office just for permission to leave Smartstart for Intoxilock. I dont even have Intoxilock in my vehicle yet and my experience with them has been absolutely wonderful compared to the complete garbage service that I have received from Smart start. DO NOT CHOOSE SMARTSTART unless you hate your money, your time, having a vehicle, like being called a liar, like being extorted, and most of all treated like s*** I will send you a photo of my billing history to back this up which I also sent to Smartstart. They did not give a shit! THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE ALL THE WAY AROUND. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!

      Hello, ******************** account shows that his vehicle has not been serviced by Smart Start since November 10, 2023; and that he has not paid the monthly lease fees per his contact with Smart Start. **************** will be responsible for the monthly lease fees as well as any missed appointment fees, service lockout fees, and late fees that *** be assessed. He is advised to contact our Credit and ********************** as soon as possible to work on a resolution.

      Has to be the worst of the interlock companies out there with others very close. **************** is horrible and when you do get through an hour later they pass you on to someone else where you wait again. I spent an afternoon in an over three hour loop, and the lady had the nerve of telling me that my frustration was unwarrented, Totally unprofessional company from customer service to the Service Centers. Very deceptive in pricing and not upfront AT ALL. I am on my last year of a 5 years i have to have the interlock. Pretty sad how these companies operate and the poor customer service while they rake in millions and s**** people, they are a government contractor and they should be decertified. When I had unit installed the service center did not even have a schematic or engineered wiring diagram for installation that should be provided from Smart Start to the tech, standards are low and service centers are only trying to rip people off by charging the *** when in reality should be simple install at most, very unethical.

      I have made a payment to my account and was assured I was paid in full. I have tried to reach customer service about this and I either get left on hold or hung up on. Resulting in hours of wasted time. The customer service for this company it absolutely terrible. They also saved a family's debt card information without permission. This is all unacceptable. The customer service for this company is absolutely terrible.

      They schedule appointments after lockout dates and then charge you for missing your lockout date. They put you on hold for hours. They refuse to let you reschedule appointments when your vehicle is broken down. They are unethical and ill-mannered and the absolute worst company I have ever had the displeasure of being forced to do business with. Absolutely avoid at all costs.

      This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They have gave me contradictory information between departments and will transfer you to another department to pass on responsibility. Also, the company has contradictory prices for customers. Worst company ever. I don't recommend Smartstart

      Its ridiculous theres Definitely trickery and unfair practices going on the machines acts differently at random times and I get abort tamper, retry, wait messages and sometimes the machine beeps with no stop and other times it wont make a noise when its time to blow it also gets stuck on the starting screen 4 out of 10 times I start and sometimes the car wont even turn on and I got a violation for no reason at all other then trying to turn on my car I passed my test my car wouldnt start and I keep trying then all of a sudden it says violation and my car still wont start even tho I passed my test immediately after and immediately before you cant get ahold of no one in the company without waiting 70plus minutes every single time the only time I got a quick reply is when I acted like a new customer then when I told them I was current they transferred me and had me wait another hour and the lady was one of the rudest employees I have ever dealt with in my life she wouldnt even give me her name theres just so much non sense and tricks going on with this company Im stuck paying an extra 400 for 4 violations that were because of the machine , the person that installed it in the vehicle told me they have complaints every day about this company and that I should switch, so I called them waited over an hour on the phone and the tell me that Im not allowed to switch companies without getting authorization from the dmv Its just a sham Ive been trying to get ahold of this company for the past 27 hours and I havent been able to speak to one real employee or receive any type of call back or anything
