      Complaint: 21301097

I am rejecting this response because: CMR did communicate with me but there is still no schedule provided and work is still at a standstill, no work has yet to be performed. It is a daily hassle to remember to call for updates. I even requested an email confirmation to find out where the $40,000 funds have been applied to but to no avail. I'm still really concerned that this is taking a long time while the $40,000 check has been chased. Please provide me with a schedule as soon as possible.

      Regards,

CMR has been in communication with the customer regarding the long lead times and back ordering of the current selection of tile.  To help resolve this and get the project going, we have offered 3 similar color scheme of tile that the customer is considering as an option of switching to.  All of the options presented are in stock and can be easily procured.  We are confident we can come to a resolution.  CMR believes this can be closed as resolved.

CMR spoke to the client tonight.  Their project is on the schedule to start in 4 weeks.  Tile has already been procured.  We apologize for the delay.  This matter has been resolved.

CMR offered to file a claim for me with my insurance company which would result in my insurance company providing me with a new roof. I would pay the deductible. I decided to cancel the agreement when my wife was diagnosed with a terminal illness. They sent me a bill for $2,700. They never indicated there would be a cancellation fee. They never provided any service. When the insurance company came to inspect the roof they said someone from their company would be at the inspection. No one showed up. My insurance company rejected their claim and refused to replace *******.CMR did not provide the service they indicated they would.

      Complaint: 21281572

I am rejecting this response because:
Although communication has greatly improved and we now have a POC that returns our calls and texts, we hesitate to close out this complaint until the tile has been received, installed, and roof completed.

      1. per POC, our tile has been ordered and will arrive within 2/3 weeks. 2. Our underlayment was inspected by a CMR inspector who determined it was in good shape.  3. Additionally, we now have a scope of work with completion date.

Steps are being taken to remedy this project and we appreciate it, but we are still cautious.

      Regards,

Since we have a solid plan moving forward and communication greatly improved, we feel that the case can be closed.  If there is a need for any further action, a new claim can be filed.

On 10/16/23 I met with CMR representative ****************. I issued him a check for $11,750 to release me from the final general and mutual release contract. He stated that ********************* needed to sign the release contract because it was his name on the form and he would get me a hard copy with *****'s signature. I have yet to receive a signed final general and mutual release form from ***** and the check was cashed on 10/18/23. I have made several attempts to contact **** via telephone with no resolution just excuses. On 1/22/24 I wrote a letter to ********************* and sent it via *** with a signature required. It was received on 1/26/24 and signed for by "Wood". I still haven't received a response. All I am asking for is a signature to complete the final general and mutual release form acknowledging that the contract is satisfied.

We apologize, but could we get an address for the project in *******?  We are unable to find a customer by the last name ******.  The address they have on the complaint is an ******* address.

      Business Response

We are in contact with the homeowners with possible solutions moving forward with the project.  We are discussing getting the roof removed in the next two weeks and dried in.  Once the roof passes the proper inspections having the tile delivered within 2-3 weeks of that and installed.  We completely understand the frustration of the clients and are working to make sure that is resolved.

      Customer Answer

      Complaint: 21259377

I am rejecting this response because: we have retained an attorney to exit the contract with CMR and refund our deposit.  They can not provide our ************* that was picked out nor can they provide a PO number for that tile order.  We are under the assumption that our material/tile order was never placed.

We left a voicemail for ************** 3 weeks ago for some direction as to what was happening with our project.  He never responded to that voicemail.  He only reached out recently in response to this complaint.  Due to the lack of communication, inconsistencies, poor customer service and overall experience that we have dealt with for the past 14 months with CMR, we do not feel comfortable moving forward with this company.  We do not have the confidence in CMR to handle our roofing project.

      Regards,

      *************************

      Business Response

      Date: 02/28/2024

CMR absolutely placed the order for the tile.  The ************* had a 50+ week lead time.  While we understand the frustration.  However, we cannot control the lead times but we understand the clients lack of trust.  We offered the client the exact same tile but from a different plant to expedite the project.  We also offered modified payment terms based on performance to help build confidence.  We are really trying to work with the client to build the roof. Just so that there is documentation here is the original PO 35350-5.  Based on when the final approved scope was approved we are still within the original time frame conveyed to the client.  Again, not trying to be argumentative or negate the clients feelings towards this, but we are trying to give positive solutions with definitive timelines and performance verbiage for the project.  CMR is very confident in being able to perform in a timely fashion.  We look forward to having a positive conversation with the client if they will have that.

CMR has reached out to the client and have proposed plan to complete the project in a timely manner.  While we understand the frustration with the delays, unfortunately due to material delays from the specific manufacturer, chosen by the client, we are at the mercy of the supplier.  Now that the tile is set to be released, we can put together a more definitive plan.  We look forward to working with the client to get the project completed.

CMR completely understands the frustration of the client.  Unfortunately, due to extended wait times for certain tile, it causes delays in the process.  The particular tile the customer selected had a ***** week lead time.  Since we are close to the tile release date we are scheduling the removal of the old roof with the client in the next 2-3 weeks.  Once the dry in passes inspection the new tiles will be delivered and loaded.  We appreciate the patience of the client during the wait for the tile.
