    We used NETCO to close in early October and still do not have our title nor can we get our homestead exemption as the property is still listed in the previous owner's name. We tried to call and email them and got no response. It's been over 2 months.

    Dear ****************,

    We are in receipt of your letter dated January 12, **** referencing a previous complaint against Netco Title (Netco) filed with BBB bearing Complaint ID ******** (the Complaint)that has not yet been answered. Your letter was sent to the local office located at ***************************************************************************************, which was sold to another title agency, Proper Title Company (Proper Title), effective November 1, 2023.  We were advised by Proper Title that they first learned of the Complaint from the Kurowskis on January 5, ****, then they received your letter the week of January 15, ****,and subsequently forwarded it to our attention on January 22, ****.  We apologize for the delay in responding, but we reviewed our files immediately upon receipt of the Complaint from Proper Title and find no evidence that Netco ever received a copy or notice of the Complaint.

    After review of the Complaint and other information provided by Proper Title, it appears that Proper Title promptly began working to prepare a corrective instrument required to correct the erroneous legal description upon receipt of notice of the error on Friday, January 5,****. On January 19, ****, Proper Title informed the Kurowskis that the necessary corrective affidavit had been recorded and that they could proceed with filing of documentation with the taxing authority in Coryell County required to obtain the homestead exemption.

    Netco prides itself on its ability to quickly and accurately respond to consumer complaints. It appears that the Complaint was not brought to our attention sooner as a result of the transition in ownership of the local branch office. We apologize that a response was not sent sooner, but we trust that the explanation above confirms that the ********* have received their desired resolution.Should you have any questions or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
