    I hired this lawyer to represent me in a Custody Modification Case in early 2024. She agreed to accept the assignment at$200/hr. All documentation/ proof given.Gilstrap didn't turn in NOT ONE PIECE OF MY EVIDENCE! NO DISCOVERY WHATSOEVER. She INFLATED my invoice to charge $400/hr, lied to me numerous times telling me she was working on my case "all weekend ", continuing to inflate the invoice. She neglected to add $1000 I gave her to the invoice.
    When we went to trial, she was totally unprepared. Almost everything I said, the defense attorney interviewed me, and had stricken from the record due to NO EVIDENCE. GILSTRAP didn't even question my ex correctly, so almost all her questions were objected to and sustained by the judge.The judge asked her did she want to interview my ex on the stand, trying the help GILSTRAP, GILSTRAP REPLIED NO! Had she turned in the evidence she could have PROVED all the lies she didn't object to, and the neglect and abuse my daughter is being subjected to.
    I lost the case. The judge specifically said, "I can't overturn this modification because I have no evidence ". I GAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH EVIDENCE
    Now my daughter has to continue suffering and my visitation is still being refused.
    Then when I asked for a refund, she asked me would"$1500 make this go away". By go away, I told her I would leave reviews and report her to the Texas Bar of Disciplinary Council if she refused to refund my money. I feel people deserve to know who she really is. She then wrote me saying I was trying to blackmail her, I threatened her life and her daughter's life. More Lies!
    This lawyer has no integrity, is incompetent and a flat out disgrace to the Legal profession. She'll take your money, ignore your attempts at communication and frankly blow off you and your case.
    I'm a single, black, disabled mother. I feel she took advantage of all that. She made reference to my disability on several occasions.
    DO NOT TRUST HER. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR CASE
