Avoid this business at all costs! Unsavory and disreputable. Checked in on Monday evening 3/3 for scheduled lung cancer surgery for my husband early Wednesday morning 3/5. Dirty pots and pans piled on the stove, absolutely filthy tan **** carpet that was black and matted in the walkways, not one hanger in the entire place, stained mat around toilet, walls were in desperate need of cleaning and painting, laminate flooring was tacky to walk on, towels were paper thin, sofa was worn and stained, pillows flat, mattress sunken in the middle with creepy, cheap sheets, stains on bedskirt, furniture scratched and scraped, continuous whirring and banging noise all night long (HVAC?). I could go on but why bother! *** said they'd shampoo carpet for us (though they claimed it was shampooed before we checked in). There is no way shampooing could help this situation, carpet needed replacing among many other things. We checked out the next day & went to a hotel, informing HCH that the apartment was unacceptable and we wanted our money back. Unfortunately they have 28 pages of hidden T&C's on their website, only provide a link to them upon payment, don't disclose them when you talk to them live, and generally hide behind them to cheat/defraud the customer. Because it was non-refundable, and they have ***** hrs to cure, we got screwed out of our money for the remaining 11 nights. As we were under duress due to impending surgery, no way we could stay in these conditions while they shampooed carpet. No excuse for apt to be in this condition - WHAT A DUMP! And they get away with this using the excuses they provided AMEX (in our case), virtually the same ones they provided to the other complainant on this site in early '24. UNACCEPTABLE! One star needed to leave review, real rating is negative stars.

We take all feedback seriously, especially when it involves guests facing difficult personal circumstances. However, we must firmly address the inaccuracies in this *********. ************ filed a formal dispute with her credit card provider, claiming the apartment was uninhabitable. After a thorough review, her bank ruled in our favor and denied her refund requesta rare outcome, as banks typically side with their customers even in cases of questionable claims. This outcome speaks volumes about the validity of her allegations. The minor issues she reported were promptly addressed per her request, including an offer to shampoo the carpet, which she declined. We remained responsive and available throughout her stay, despite her decision to vacate early and later pursue a false chargeback.Houston Corporate Housing has proudly served medical patients and their families for over 11 years, offering clean, fully furnished, and comfortable accommodations. We are known not only for the quality of our units but for our responsiveness, compassion, and commitment to customer care, especially during medical stays. We understand the stress she was under, but it does not justify the false public accusations made in this review.Houston Corporate Housing Customer Relations Team

*** relies on a 28-page document to hide behind the fact that their apartment was horrendous. They said the carpet was shampooed before our arrival, so another shampoo would hardly fix the condition; it should have been replaced long ago. Yes, we vacated early because (of course) we were not told that if we stayed for 72 hours, we might get our $ back. As it was, with cancer surgery pending, there was no way we could stay at these premises. Of course, *** does not acknowledge the many other issues in the apt that we mention above, nor did they attempt to address them then or now. There are pictures posted on ******, so anyone can see the appalling condition of the apt. Instead of arguing with very unhappy, in fact dismayed clients in online reviews, how about maintaining your apartment in decent condition? But once again, they've taken the low road. Accusing clients of posting false accusations; why in the world would anyone take the time to post false accusations?? The pictures tell the story. This vendor is disreputable.

Were genuinely sorry this experience left the guest feeling dissatisfied. When she mentioned concerns about the carpet, we immediately hired a professional cleaning company to address it they were on-site the very next day. Our intent was always to make things right as quickly as possible, and we responded with care and urgency. While we take great pride in delivering clean, move-in ready apartments, we also recognize that errors can happen. What matters most to us is how we respond and in this case, we were fully committed to correcting the issue without hesitation. Weve built our business over the past 11 years by being attentive, responsive, and dedicated to the comfort of thousands of medical guests whove trusted us during very personal times. Its unfortunate that instead of continuing an open conversation, the guest chose a more aggressive, public route. We truly wish she had given us the opportunity to work together toward a resolution, especially considering how quickly we acted to address her concerns.Even her banks decision to deny the dispute is a strong reflection of the facts and supports that we upheld our responsibilities professionally and in good faith. We remain proud of our service and of our apartments, and well continue to stand behind both always with the willingness to listen, learn, and take action when needed.

Ok, this is beyond silly. If you were genuinely sorry you would have contacted us directly to rectify the situation. What open conversation would you like to have? You made no attempt to have any conversation, to offer us any refund or compensation. You kept 11 of our 12 booked nights. **** did not refund our money because you have 72 hrs in your 28-page terms and conditions document to rectify the situation, so they could not legally retain those funds. But this does not excuse the fact that your apt was in horrendous condition. When do you take responsibility for that? You left us in a terribly, stressful situation - to wait around for people to shampoo gross carpet that should have been replaced long ago, while ignoring all of the many other issues we mention and no offer to rectify those things. All while getting ready for cancer surgery. My husband and I could not remain in that apt and frankly it was like a burden lifted when we got out of there the next day. ***, there was no professional carpet cleaning service on the premises when we checked out. I wonder were you also going to repaint the walls, replace the lamp shades, clean and remove whatever sticky finish was on the floors, supply us with hangers, etc. because you don't mention any of this. And yet we were expected to wait around while all this effort was supposed to happen around us? While we're dealing with surgery and recovery? You honestly think this is the right and fair thing to do? Of course I'm going to publicly call attention to this. You gave us no choice. If you'd like to resolve this privately, it can still be done. I'll wait for the call, the apology, and offer to refund our money. The reviews can be fixed if you'd take those actions. Instead you chose to write your silly, infomercial responses. This can go on for a long time. Or not.
