On August 14, 2024, I had Sturdy Doors Refinishing stain my front door and paint the trim (frame) to match the door color. I knew that the trim paint was not going to perfectly match the stain on the door, but Sherwin Williams did a good job matching the paint color to the wood stain sample that Sturdy Doors provided. Unfortunately, the stain color on my door turned out to be darker than the sample and as a result the trim paint color was a lot lighter and looked awful. The technician (Eddie) knew that it didn’t come close to matching the door and that I was very unhappy with how it looked. He told me that he would return and repaint the trim at no charge and asked me to contact Lynn to reschedule. After 5 weeks, they agreed to return and repaint my trim, but wanted to charge me an additional $150 after I just paid them $725 for a job that was not done to correctly or to my satisfaction. I'm extremely disappointed that they do not stand behind their work and honor their commitment. I would not recommend this company. Buyer beware!

Larry with Sturdy Doors came out to provide a walnut stain/varnish service to our front double door on Feb 21, 2024. Doors look great, but there was significant overspray on to the adjacent white stucco wall when the stain/varnish was applied to the outside door trim all around the doors. I have not been able to remove the stain from the stucco. I contacted Sturdy Doors several times on this matter and they have refused to repair the damage by painting that part of the stucco wall arguing that the stain overspray was already there, and they are not responsible. However, pictures taken immediately before the work was performed showed there was no stain overspray on the stucco, but after the doors were stained/varnished, the stain/varnish is now there. I am now faced with the expense of repairing the damage myself that Sturdy Doors caused on this project.
I would strongly warn against using Sturdy Doors as the finished quality of the project was poor, and their lack to effort to repair the damage caused by their service representative makes them an unreliable service provider.
