Upon receiving my prdouct and installing it. There was terrible electrical feedback coming from the product. I contacted the company (they intentionally don't have a phone number) via email. I was immediately met with resistance. I was told that they needed my to tear my vehicle a part and provide pictures of my entire install, wiring etc. I explained to them that I'm not a novice customer by any means and that my work was solid. They kept insisting that I send them pictures. So reluctantly I did. At that point I had purchased a replacement amplifier from a well k own manufacturer. When I turned it on the electrical feedback issue went away. So I went one step further and tested my cables and wiring. All of them were in perfect working order. When I made CT Sounds aware of my findings and that I had installed a replacement and the issue went away. They finally sent me a return shipping label. After a week and a half went by I reached back out to them to get a status on my warranty amplifier. They responded with sending me a invoice request for $40. I responded with "Excuse me? What is this about?" Then I was told that their "warranty policy" states that if a product is found to be in working condition that they will charge the customer $40 in shipping fees and 30% servicing fee on top of that. But that they were waiting the %30 fee. As if they were doing me some sort of favor. This was never mentioned to me prior to sending the defective product back to them and holding it hostage. This is terrible business practice and a scam. For all I know, the recieved the product, let it sit at their facility and then sent my an invoice. They also continue to insist that the problem is nothing ro do with their cheap product and have literally listed every possible cause outside of the amp being defective. It is absolutely absurd. I went above and beyond to prove that it wasn't being caused on my end and they continue to fight me on this and now want money from me.
