Purchased a Cummins 855 engine that was supposedly fitted to run off natural gas. Used it less than 19 hrs to pump our well water and it sputtered and died completely. During the time it ran it sputtered, backfired, lost power etc. Contacted Swift to see what they could do and never showed up. Had continuous electrical issues as well shorting out the computer that has the temperature, rpm, start button etc. Swift came through sending me another but it got immediately fries after it was reinstalled. Upon further investigation on the running issues of the thebengine itself, I found a placard on the side of the engine that said it came out of a natural gas company out of ****** **********. I called them, gave them the vin and they said the engine is set up for propane, not natural gas which explains why it wouldn't run off our gas meter. I then called Swift about it and they haven't gotten back with me one time. I've called them at least 40 times in the span of 3 years and nothing. I either want my money back, the engine exchanged for an engine of equal horsepower that had been rebuilt, or pay for my time and expense to take to an authorized ******* shop to have it properly converted to natural gas, not propane.

Hello we sent the customer a good running engine when it left our yard. Customer has a testing video of the engine running well in our shop from the day before it was shipped to the customer.

Using a natural gas engine fueled by well head gas is doable but complex to get the fuel settings just right to avoid engine complications. The engine was running fine in testing at our shop using our test gas lines. We should not be held accountable for potential damage from something else done with the unit after it left our yard. We respect the customers concerns but are unable to provide further resolution.

On 10/11/22 we paid Swift Equipment Solutions, located at **** **** ***, Houston, TX 77028, $8000 + tax for a used air compressor we found for sale on their website. The advertisement included a video showing the unit was operating. When we got it to our yard it would not start even though it was sold to us as a running compressor. We had a mechanic come look it over and found that the alternator & battery needed to be replaced, and it had some severe fluid leaks on the air screw system. When we attempted to discuss these issues via email, we found them combative.
We would like to be reimbursed $400 to repair the equipment. It feels as if false advertising of faulty equipment should come into play here.
